Christmas was fast approaching, as was Slughorn's party. Eurielle had contacted her grandmother who had promised to send her a dress- apparently something her mother had worn before her. According to her nana the dress was a champagne colored 50's cocktail dress that flared out as a ballet dancer's tutu would.

It didn't sound like it was really her style but she didn't have anything else to wear that would be deemed appropriate. Filch had already dress coded her more times then she could count.

Ever since Nott asked her out they hadn't spoken which she thought was fairly odd. If he had wanted to shag her or date wouldn't he have already been trying to schmooze his way into her life? She would have much rather had that happen then him working for Malfoy. But all signs pointed to the latter.

The trio was once again broken up by Ron and Hermione's feud. Harry was stuck playing sides while Eurielle had removed herself almost completely from the situation. She had become somewhat of a diary for Harry- something to vent and talk honestly too. Which had become rather cumbersome as well.

Eurielle had yet to tell anyone who she was going with, but she decided she would tell Harry the truth since he felt 'oh so alone' in this whole endeavor. She would admit that Malfoy was suspicious, she'd noticed he hadn't been his usual self. His grades were slipping, he didn't torment them or others, he was missing quidditch- it was almost like his mind was elsewhere.

That didn't mean he had cursed the necklace but there was definitely something up and she was a Ravenclaw afterall, her curiosity would one day be her downfall.

It was snowing when she found Harry after classes. She spotted him backed up against a wall, his pale face crimson and an uneasy smile on his face as he looked up at the mistletoe that hung above him and a Ravenclaw fifth year.

" Potter!" she hollered, attracting the attention of both him and the girl, " I need to talk to you, c'mere!"

A relieved smile split across his face while he ran over to her, leaving a disappointed girl behind, " Yeah?" he asked, cocking his head to the side as a dog would.

" I need to talk to you about something, follow me," she sighed looking around. Students were clearing out and heading to their common rooms or the library, waiting until dinner.

She led him down a deserted corridor, " We need to go somewhere private," she said before marching over to a classroom door and resting her hand on the golden knob, " C'mon,"

Eurielle pushed the door open and her nose crinkled with disgust at the sight of Ron resting between Lavender's thighs, practically sucking her face into his mouth, " OI!" she yelled causing the two to spring apart.

She didn't bother to notice the red faced Harry behind her, " OUT! OUT!" she barked.

The two Gryffindor's sprung into action, Ron grabbed Lavender's arm and led her toward the exit, " C'MON NOW!" she yelled, stomping her foot and yanking Harry into the room.

The girl halted in her steps and gawked at Harry and Eurielle, " Are you two-?"

" OUT!" she shouted, shoving Ron forward and stepping out into the hall after them, " I HATE YOU BOTH!"

Eurielle shivered before slamming the door behind her, " Good God" she huffed.

She then backed up against a desk and hopped onto it and crossing her leg over the other, " Now, I'm going with Nott to Slughorn's party,"

Harry's emerald eyes seemed to bulge out of his head, " What?!"

Eurielle rolled her eyes and held up her hand, " Let me finish, will you?" she asked annoyed, " I think Malfoy might have asked him too. . . so I said yes,"
