" This prophecy," began Sirius before taking a drag of a cigarette," If it had been made after she was committed to St. Mungo's I don't understand how the person who put the block on her mind knew about her gift. I was the only one she had told about the dreams, and even then she didn't know she was a seer,"

Snape looked at the man before him with a loathing expression, " So helpful of you, Black, keeping that bit of information to yourself," he sneered.

The pureblood glared, " I wouldn't expect you to understand Snape, considering you've never been in a relationship before," he said with a shit-eating grin, " But how they work is when the person you're with asks you to keep your mouth shut, you do it,"

" Ah and we see how that turned out, don't we?"

Sirius's eyes flashed and he went to stand but Dumbledore sent an impatient look at the two of them and the men shut their mouths and directed their attention to the table, " Now we know it's of utmost importance to keep Evelyn within Grimmauld, Sirius please tell us if Evelyn says anything out of the ordinary. They may very well be warnings,"

Jemison sat down the newspaper that showed the collapse of the bridge, killing many muggles. These deatheaters were ruthless, what had the muggles even done? Nothing.

He glanced up at his mother who was cleaning the dishes by hand, something she only did when she needed to preoccupy herself, " Dumbledore has offered me a place in the Order. "

The plate his mother had been cleaning slipped out of her hands and crashed down into the sink, she turned to him with wide eyes, " W-What?" she gasped, wiping her hands on the towel, "Jemison, no, this isn't your fight,"

He shook his head, " No mama, I think it's everyone's fight, " he said before standing and making his way over to his mother and hugging her, " I've already talked to Sabina. . . she doesn't want me to but she understands, I have too,"

Lindsey sucked in a gasping breath and hugged her son, " You've always been like this you know, ever since the sixties and you could hold a damn sign."

He chuckled, " It's easy to do what's right but this time I have a lot more on the line and that's the only thing that makes it hard."

" But in the end, it's all to make the world a better place,"

Remus cursed as he read the front page, Emmaline was dead. He, Evelyn, Lily, Marlene, Nicole, James, and Sirius had all been friends with her. God, when would it end? Why are good people dying with every passing day?

He glanced over to Eurielle who was reading her own newspaper, " My Uncle is joining the Order," she said softly.

Remus nodded, " I know, are you alright?"

She shrugged, a tired look on her face, " I'm just scared they're all going to die, because honestly they could, tomorrow, today- hell I could die tomorrow," she laughed bitterly before burying her head in her hands, " Why is this happening, Remus?"

The werewolf frowned and placed a scarred hand over her own, " I don't know, Ellie,"

-

She stared into the mirror and saw a young woman with straight dirty blonde hair stare back at her with narrowed hazel eyes, " You blew it,"she whispered scathingly.

It was her, wasn't it?

" She blew it," she repeated, Evelyn Truelove blew it, she fucked it all up. This had been her chance and Evelyn had blew it, " Oh God you blew it," she groaned scratching at her face.
