On the train ride home Eurielle had sat alone, needing to be with herself for a while. The year had been eventful indeed, with the tournament, trying to figure out who was out to get Harry, Cedric being killed, the whole Blaise thing, the new Fred thing, Rita Skeeter, and - of course -Voldemort's return.
Now in the middle of her living room stood her father and her grandfather, both beaming at her, " I told you you'd see me soon," he said with a doggish grin.
She smiled and looked to her grandfather who placed a hand on Sirius's shoulder, " Come here, darling," he said, opening his arms which she bounded into. She let out a shuddering breath and sniffed, " You were so brave, Ellie," whispered Samson.
Dora laughed, " You bet she was!" she cheered before tripping over air and then bouncing back up, " Stunned a Death Eater!" she said, her chest puffing up with pride.
Lindsey sent Sirius a watery smile and grabbed his face in her hands before kissing his forehead, " I'm getting my family back," she whispered in his ear.
Sirius swept Lindsey into a hug which she returned vigorously, " I swear, we'll find a way to get Evelyn out of there, I'll do whatever it takes," he murmured.
Remus placed a hand on Eurielle's shoulder, " I'm very proud of you Ellie," he said, " But I must confess, I'm unsure whether to scold you or applaud you, what you did was a very Gryffindor thing to do, meaning it was reckless," he chided though he had a smile on his face.
She waved him off, " I mean I'm alive so you can applaud all you want," she assured.
Eurielle looked around, " So what does all this mean? What's going to happen now,"
-
Apparently it meant spending the summer in a musty old house with her father and the Weasleys. She walked up the street with Sirius on a leash, looking less than happy to be going back to this old place.
Number 12 Grimmauld Place was formerly a lovely Muggle townhouse built in London. At some point one of Sirius's ancestors had 'persuaded' the muggles to go somewhere else and then added the appropriate spells on it.
A few spells here and there and the House revealed itself to them. Remus opened the door and allowed Dora to enter first in which she promptly fell over the door stopper and bounced back up, thanking Remus.
Sirius let out a huff but trotted inside and Eurielle followed. The front door opened into a long hallway that was lined with gas lamps. Eurielle suspected it had once been a grand entrance but over the years the wallpaper had peeled and the long carpet worn thin. Cobwebs littered the nooks and crannies of the room, making her feel unclean by just being here.
Lindsey coughed upon entering, " Good Lord it's so damn dusty Imma have to turn my lungs inside out and beat 'em against the wall!" she wheezed.
The others nodded their agreement and closed the door, causing what little light they had thanks to the sun to vanish. Lindsey placed her hands on her hips and bit her lip, " Okay we're gonna have to strip this place down,"
Sirius returned to his regular form and looked around the place with intense loathing, wanting nothing more than to be ten thousand miles away, " I say the people with magic should be doing this," said Eurielle.
Her grandmother frowned, " I see your point but there's too much to do for you to be sittin' on your ass missy,"
Lindsey grabbed her bag and pulled out a wand, " Sirius, honey... I- I have a wand for you to use," she said softly, handing him the redwood wand that seemed to be almost a foot long. Sirius took it with furrowed brows.
