"Khloe?" Someone called to me and Maddie as we headed back towards the house.

I looked up and realised we were passing a group of people smoking. I saw Jake looking at me, standing inbetween Dean and Chase.

"Hey." I said, stopping in front of
them with my arm locked in Addison's.

The boys smiles faltered when they saw Addison standing besides me.

"What is she doing here?" Dean growled at me.

"She can hear you." Addison said, smirking. "I'm just showing up for my girl Khloe here, more than you boys have ever done."

The boys eyes darkened.

"She shouldn't be here". Chase told me.

I rolled my eyes. "I thought this was party too?"

"It is." Jake said, sympathetically.

"But she's not supposed to be on the guest list." Dean added.

"What guest list?" I scoffed. "We didn't exactly discuss it."

"You know she wasn't supposed to be invited." Chase said to me.

I shrugged. "Did I?"

Chase clenched his jaw and looked away from me.

"Addison's my guest and my friend and the only person I've invited so relax." I said.

"It's hard to relax when she's here." Dean growled.

"You're not even allowed to see her." Chase added.

"Would you boys stop talking about me as if I'm not here?"
Addison said, irritated.

"You shouldn't be here." Chase said.

"Yeah, I got that, thanks." Addison said, rolling her eyes. "Are you done establishing that you don't want me here?"

"No." Dean growled.

"Guys stop it, she's my friend. Be nice." I said.

Jake looked at me empathetically. "We get that, Khlo. We're just concerned."

I shrugged. "Don't be. I'm good. We know what we're doing".

"You never know what you're doing, Khloe."' Chase said, unconvinced.

"Really? You know there was a time when I looked after myself and didn't need you." I said, glaring at Chase.

Chase scoffed, matching my glare. "And look where that got you."

Jake looked awkward. "What he means to say is it's good for having people look out for you and that's what we're doing."

"Boys, she's fine. You're literally making a big deal out of nothing." Addison stated.

"This is none of your business." Chase dismissed.

"And that's for you to decide is it?" Maddie asked.

Chase met her eyes. "Yes." He said.

Maddie smirked, amused. "Controlling her won't do you any good, you know. Trust will."

Chase rolled his eyes. "What do you know?"

Maddie smirked. "A lot more than you think and certainly a lot more than you."

"Okay, that's enough." I said. "Let's just pretend this conversation never happened. We don't need anymore conflict in our lives."

Maddie scoffed. "If only they'd get the memo."
