"Hoseok! Hi! Uhh...I am actually on the way out." Jungkook apologized with a shy smile.

With his revealing clothes it was obvious that he was headed to work. Something Hoseok wished to one day get him out of.

"I'm aware. Sorry for arriving so late." Hoseok said with a slight blush. He had just gotten off his shift and got a sudden burst of adrenaline.

After changing his clothes, he drove immediately to Jungkook's to talk to him. It was something he needed to do now or he probably wouldn't ever get the courage again.

It had been nearly three months since Taehyung had stopped talking to Jungkook. He seemed better, happier. Mentally and physically. His house was no longer a mess and he smiled more.

He had been in love with him for nearly four years. What was stopping him from confessing his feelings? He needed to at least try.

"It's fine. Do you want a cup of coffee? I can make one before I go. Or do you want to stay and sleep? You look tired. Please come in."

"No thank you. I'm here for something else."

"Oh. Okay?" He responded a bit confused.

Hoseok took a deep breath as he started to speak. His heart was beating so loud that he couldn't even hear himself talk.

"Jungkook, I'm going to start off by saying that I'm sorry this isn't the right timing. I know you have feelings for another man, but I want you to know that I'm irrevocably in love with you. I've been in love ever since the first time I saw you. I never believed in that love at first type stuff, but with you that changed. I cannot stop myself from thinking about you on the daily. I care about you and about your feelings. This is why I want you to know that you do not need to feel forced to accept what I'm about to ask,"

Jungkook nervously intertwined his hands. His face was as red as a tomato. It had never occurred to him that Hoseok felt so deeply for him.

"I want you to go on a date with me." Hoseok finally said. Though his voice did not stutter his heart never stopped racing.

The sweat under his arms was creeping up the blue t-shirt. He wished he could've been more romantic with the way he asked, but it was an abrupt moment of adrenaline. Now that he had asked, his anxiety rose to the next level.

"D-date?" He stuttered almost inaudibly.

"Yes. A date. Just you and I." He replied, his face still warm.

"I...I haven't been on a date since..." high school.

"Like I said, do not feel forced to accept simply because I'm asking. It's not obligatory. In fact, I am aware that I'm not that fun of a person. If you decline I totally understand why. It's not going to ruin our friendship. At least not on my behalf. If you feel the need to no longer talk to me because of this I will stay away and—"

"I will."

Hoseok leaned closer trying to verify if he had heard right. "Pardon?" He asked with raised eyebrows.

"I will go on a date with you." He reassured. Honestly, he didn't want to date any other man, but Taehyung. However, Hoseok was very different.

He was the exception.

Hoseok grinned from ear to ear. His rosy cheeks intensified and he nodded. "Wow. Okay. I-I didn't think you'd say yes. Not that I'm disappointed! I'm totally happy about it. Thank you. I promise you won't regret it."

"It's totally okay. There's no need to thank me. Umm...I should really get going." He murmured with another timid smile.

"Right. Right. Okay. See you later. I'll let you know about the date." He leaned in for a hug to which Jungkook returned without a doubt.
