~ Vee's Pov ~Tw: anxiety, mention on injuries.
There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to at least try to get out tonight.
Even if it was only for a couple minutes.
I just needed to get out.
I could bash a window.
But I already hurt one hand; and I don't want to risk the other becoming unusable.
I faintly remember Ollie telling Iris and I how to pick a lock, and I tried my best to recall her directions.
"In the movies they use bobby pins and sh*t—but the movies are liars—bobby pins rarely work in the modern household lock, so it's better to use an actual screwdriver or something" Ollie had explained, plotting to unlock the liquor cabinet.
After locating a screwdriver, I remembered she had told me something roughly on the lines of, "then you kinda just mess around with the lock until you hear a couple ticks, that should work"
I then remember Iris scolding Ollie for actually knowing how to pick a lock, but to be fair, it was basic survival methods.
So I did as I recalled, gently maneuvering the screwdriver until I actually did hear a faint click, and I gasped in surprise.
Holy sh*t.
With a firm pull on the handle, the door opened.
A single Moonflower was on my front porch.
The Moonflower is a symbol of blossoming in the dark of times.
Personally, it meant something more to me.

"The moon is beautiful isn't it?"
It was Mid-spring, Ranboo and I had known each other for maybe 2 or 3 months now? I couldn't exactly remember. Ollie and I had been walking out of the local mall just after a timid Ollie and Keira interaction, and the brunette had noticed the crescent moon in the dark sky.
"it is" I admired.
This was my second time talking with Ollie, and even then, when I barely knew her, she had that same charm that radiated off of her personality.
"yknow in Japanese culture saying that means that you're confessing your love for someone, I'm of course not in love with you, we just met like two weeks ago, but I mean we could be in love—I do have a boyfriend—platonic love?—what am I saying—anyways, just a fun fact" Ollie rambled, as I reminisced over this conversation, I realized how nervous she might've been to make a new friend that didn't recognize her right away from her streaming career.
After thinking about that certain moment, I stared back at the moonflower on my porch. My first thought was that Ollie had put the flower there in hopes I return back to the mall parking lot.
So I went with my gut.
What could go wrong?
