A/n:Kinda based on the next episode of the What If series.If you haven't watched the latest episode,I'd suggest skipping but you don't have to.Enjoy.And this ones kinda short sorry.
Doctor Stephen Strange was known as......well......a doctor.And a well known wizard,as Tony called him,to his friends.His daughter Y/n Elizabeth Strange,is a young girl aged 12 years old.
Her father swore to protect her from all harm in the world.She was his number one priority ever since Christine died.She was his reason to keep going.
Unfortunately that all came to an end on her 13th birthday.
Stephen drove down the road with Y/n in the backseat. She was looking out the window at the mixed lights that lit up the city. The world looked so peaceful to her. Stephen grinned as he looked in the rearview mirror.
"Someones happy"
Y/n beamed."Yep, it's my birthday and we get to have presents and cake and other things like fizzy drinks" she giggled.
"Well let's hope Wong has the party all set up at home. Hope he didn't try cooking again" he chuckled a bit. Y/n nodded as she grinned at her father.
Stephen bent the car around the bend until they were on a bridge. The car halted in traffic behind a truck. He sighed as he clicked the indicator to turn left. He needed to pass out the truck.
The car went round the truck as the heavy rain hit the window screen. Y/n played with her skirt.
Stephen beamed at her face in the mirror until an immense white light hit the front windscreen. It was all a blur as he gave attention to his daughter's scream in the backseat. His eyes shut as he felt the impact of the car spinning upside down.
Finally, the car stopped. Stephen groaned as his head crammed with pain. He opened his eyes as fast as he could and panicked. Y/n was all he thought about.
He turned around to the backseat and gently hauled around the broken glass.
"Y/n?"he whispered.
"Y/N!"
No reaction.
He saw his daughter knocked lifeless as her head began bleeding. He quickly took off the seat belt and reached for her. Once he picked her up, he gently lifted her body out of the car.
His eyes adapted to the light outside as he gazed at his daughter's body. He lowered to his knees. He had failed her.
"I'm so sorry Y/n"he whispered kissing her head as their body's rocked back and forth.
Y/n Strange was quiet.
Flashback over:
Strange spent years trying to find ways of getting her back. Wong was worried about the as was The Ancient One. He was employing his sorcery for something that could destroy the course of time itself.
He spent hours learning new magic to find ways out to get her back. Finally, it clicked in his head to use The Eye Of Agomoto or as they called it The Time Stone.
He concentrated his hands and gently opened the time stone until it glowed a bright green. His eyes shut and he was sent back in time.
Back in time:
"Someones happy"
Y/n beamed."Yep,it's my birthday and we get to have presents and cake and other things like fizzy drinks"she giggled.

Finally, the car quit. Stephen grunted as his head filled with pain. He ironed his eyes as fast as he could and panicked.Y/n was all he thought about.
He turned around to the backseat as he gently moved around the broken glass.
"Y/n?"he whispered.
"Y/N!"
No response.
He failed again.
Time travel over:
He was brought back again as he gasped. His eyes broadened as he realised this would be tougher than he thought. Wong stepped forward after hearing the noise.
"Stephen, you can't do this. Time doesn't work like that"Wong attempted reasoning but Stephen ignored him.
"He's right Stephen. You can't mess with time like that, that's not how to bring your daughter back"The Ancient One entered the conversation.
Stephen nodded his head."I just need to try again"
Dismissing the calls for him to stop, he attempted again.
Time travel:
"Someone's happy huh?"
Y/n nodded."Yep I can't wait for my birthday party"
Stephen smiled.
The car turned left around the truck and unfortunately hit another car.The screams of his daughter was the last thing he heard before blacking out.
Failed again,
Time travel over:
Stephen was brought back to reality as The Ancient One skimmed his shoulder.
"This is not the way Stephen!"
"THEN TELL ME HOW!"He shouted back.
"I can't"
"Why?"he questioned "Please I just want her back"
She shook her head."I can't Stephen.Because there is no way to bring her back"
And that was the truth.He tried to hard to get her back that he could of messed up the whole world by using the time stone for something like this.The truth is.....
He failed.
