PoV: 3rd Person

The battle was continued but Eggman's robots, who Sonic now controlled, attacked Shadow and the freedom fighters. Eggman obviously to the battle's current state, was happily planning his next buildings for the area.

No one had realized where Sonic escaped too. With the tracker destroyed, no one would ever know. Sonic appeared on Eggman's ship by the control room, where the villan himself sat. The small hedgehog quietly approached him, unnoticed. As Eggman was focused on his blue print, Sonic turned on the monitor of the battle.

"Hey! Who turned that on!" Eggman's focus was broken by the noise. He shouted as he was abruptly interupted.

"Ohio~ Eggman," Sonic turned with a smile on his face. The dark room and light screen left the yellow glow in his eyes to be the brightest in the room.

"Sonic, why aren't you in the battle with Shadow?" Eggman snapped, upset that his best weapon wasn't doing it's job.

"Because we're winning, see?" Sonic gestured to the screen.

"I see," Eggman's rage subsided as thoughts of his future arose again. Then he realized the robots were attacking Shadow, "What happen to my robots? Why are they attacking Shadow?"

"Because I made them," Sonic began walking closer to Eggman. His smile remained as he watched Eggman become uneasy, "Do you remember your grandfather Robotnik?"

"No, I don't," Eggman went along and answered the question as he attempted to figure out what was going on.

"That so..." Sonic's smile faded, "You found out you were born on earth, ever wonder how you ended up here?"

"How would you know that?" Eggman became more anxious as Sonic began to tell him his grandfather's story.

"I know everything, because I lived through it. Your grandfather came here some time after you were born. I don't know when, but it was long before I was born. He lived here, and soon worked as a royal guard to the acorn kingdom. The grandfather of a villain worked for royalty, isn't that interesting?" Sonic chuckled.

"Just get on with it," Eggman replied. He became more concerned with needing an escape plan. Yet he found himself unable to move. He was bound to his seat by Sonic's chaos chain.

"Fine. Your grandfather's real name was Gerald Kintober. He worked for King Acorn, father of freedom fighter Sally. You know her, she cut your egg mobile in half the other month. Besides Gerald, my Uncle worked for King Acorn. He was working on a machine to help the sick. A machine that would robotaize parts of the human body so the sick and elderly could live longer and healthier lives. The Robotaizer.

"Gerald had better ideas for that machine. That day Sally and I were together. Gerald stole the machine with an army of his own robots. I watched him robotize my own uncle. It was war after that. I grew up fighting Gerald until Sally and I finally defeated him. Reality is, we sent him back to your world. I have a feeling he brought you with him when you were a baby. So he lived here for a while before attacking. It wasn't long until you took over, Robotnik," Sonic paused as he climbed up to be directly in front of Eggman.

"My grandfather has nothing to do with me," Eggman replied, "I have my own dreams for world domination."

"You're grandfather actually succeeded. He even attacked my home village, and killed my parents in front of me. Did you know that about me Eggman? You did find me alone as a child. You ran experiments on me remember? You introduced me to the chaos emeralds. When I was alone because my uncle was a machine and Rosey died. When I had no where to go. You took me in to be a genuine pig."

Eggman had gone quiet, he had nothing to say. He couldn't escape. So he thought about his memories, the ones he buried from when he was just Dr. Kintober.

"I remember one thing, though its vague. I remember my grandfather visiting me after you ran away. He told me about a fascinating child in his dominations. It was like nothing he had ever seen. All he wanted to do was study it. A blue hedgehog who was as quick as the speed of sound. I knew he was talking about you," Eggman gazed at Sonic, for once, his vision was not clouded by greed, "You're still that fascinating creature I found as a young man. Those experiments lead you to unlock your abilities. You've become something extraordinarily powerful. When I learned of project Shadow, I knew exactly where the inspiration came from. But it's impossible to create a perfect copy of DNA. That only makes you a more fascinating study. I've kept notes about you all these years. Now enemies and yet, I find myself constantly lost is the lybrinth of your power."

"I'm not your genuine pig anymore. Kaosusōdo," a glowing green katana manifested in the palm of his hand. Sonic aimed at Eggmans heart and slowly pushed the sword into Eggmans chest. Eggman only grit his teeth as he was unable to move. The invisible chains revealed themselves as Eggmans life began to end, "Say hi to Gerald for me Eggman. Sayonara~"

Drip... ... drip... drip... ... ... tap... Scarlet droplets fell onto the hard steel floor. And tears landed on the already wet vest Sonic wore. Though his face remained in a neutral state, tears streamed down the ex-hero's face. Memories of the experiments... and the battles against Eggman flooding Sonic's mind and Chaos. The sword faded as the soul had gone from the fat corpse.

  Sonic silently teleported to get the last chaos emerald from the base. He easily typed in the code and took it. He grabbed the generator he had patched and his tools. The last stop was retrieving the Master Emerald shards.

"Master, it's time to leave now," Sonic shared the energy from the shard in his body, allowing the emerald to reform. Sonic sat atop it with all his things before flying off with it. The master emerald was the only one who know where they would land.

"Oh no... this is very, very bad... right?" Cuebot whimpered, having seen everything from the shadows.

"Yes Cuebot... I'm afraid," Orbot calmed his robotic sibling, "This is our worst nightmare come true..."

EGGMANS DEAD?! Who saw that coming? No seriously, I hope this wasn't too predictable.

Chaos and Sonic are fused as one!? How insane! Now he's gone off somewhere no one knows of. What are the remaining survivors gonna do!?

Will they successfully save Sonic and all of mobius or will all their efforts be in vain as the world ends?

Who know! I sure don't.
