Ep 32

PoV: Shadow

It was morning and there was nothing to report from last night. I had promised to take Sonic on a run, still it felt dangerous to let him go anywhere. So long as he had the tracker he would be where I'd have some control over him.

"Shadow, Goodmorning," Decoe greeted me, "He kicked me out to change again."

"Stop letting him do that," I opened the door. Sonic was fiddling with his tie.

"How's the incision from the tracker?" I asked.

"It doesn't hurt. It's pretty much healed. I should be fine to go on a mission," he smiled, "Can I?"

"Eggman hasn't decided yet," I looked around, everything was in order.

"Is he ever going to let me finish rebuilding the power ring generator?" He still remembered the machine we had picked up, "It still has work to be done on it."

"We can ask," he hasn't been fixing up many robots lately. Eggman has been keeping everyone out of his lab. I checked that the tracker was still active and on him, everything looked fine, "Let's go."

"Hai!" I flinched as he shouted in the language the Master Emerald normally used.

I wonder if he knows the master emerald possess him.

"Shadow," Rouge greeted us on our way, "Morning Sonic."

"Hmph," Sonic was ignoring her today.

"A little rude to be doing that first thing on the morning," Rouge replied.

"Both of you knock it off. We need to find out today's mission," I pulled Sonic to my other side to stop their bickering. As we walked into the main room, Eggman was rashly working on something with his computer.

"Arugh! This will never work!" He tossed the blue prints aside, Sonic picked on up that rolled by his foot, "Rouge, Shadow. No mission today. Sonic!"

"What is it?" He picked up the next blueprint.

"The robot factory is malfunctioning. I need you to finish the ring generator while I work on this blasted malfunction. We need these robots running on rings for the next attack," Eggman snapped, "Go!"

"I'm going. But, you're holding the wrong blueprint for the malfunction," Sonic had gotten what he wanted as he walked out.

"Don't tell me what blue print to use-! Oh wait, it's this one here. Now I can manage to fix this," Eggman's scowl turn to a grin as he realized Sonic's correction was exactly what he needed.

  Even if I watch Sonic in the lab all day. I have no idea if he's only repairing the machine. Still, it's better not to leave him unattended.

PoV: Sonic

"Uncle's old handy work looks like crap now," I walked into the lab and changed so my uniform wouldn't become a mess.

"What are you doing?" I heard Shadow come in as I started working on the generator.

"Repairing the ring generator, what else?" I had opened this thing to its bare skeleton. I unlatched another peice and water began pouring out, "Look at that. It's still got some lake knothole inside. Eggman find the blueprint he needed?"

"He did. How did you know it was the wrong one?" Shadow asked as ge took a seat.

"Cause the one in Eggman's hand was the other half to this one," I tossed the blueprint I brought back with me his way, "It's an airship. Not a factory machine. You're going to watch me work all day again?"

"Of course. I need to keep you out of trouble," he leaned back in his chair and continued to watch over me.

"Then, it I do well, do I get a reward?" I gave him the puppy dog look he could hardly resist.

"You might," he looked away.

"Yes! Sex with Shadow~"

"I didn't tell you it was sex."

"You didn't say it wasn't sex," I pointed out.

"It's not sex."

"Eh? That's no fun~ I want sex!"

"No."

"Sex!"

"No! Get back to work already!"

"Not without sex!"

"You want to have sex with Rouge then?"

"...I'll get back to work..." I cried as I worked. That reward isn't worth it...

PoV: Tails

"How are the traps coming along?" Sally came by and check onnus as we worked.

"They're going great!" Sticks replied, "Hey! Move the log into position or were all gonna die!"

"Sticks is enjoying bossing everyone around for her traps," I answered, "How's the rest of the plan coming along?"

"Rotor is handling it. If Shadow's right, we'll be able to save Sonic," Sally looked out at the rest of the city, traps laid out everywhere.

This is our last hope. We'll be ready for you Eggman.

We're taking Sonic back.
