PoV: Shadow

  I found myself being constantly left out. I would find them together constantly. Sonic always had a smile on his face and noticed me before Eggman did. I could never catch what they were talking about. What ever Sonic was planning was a concern. He never said a thing about it to me after enduring his week with Rouge. He wasn't any different. But now... he was becoming less and less obedient. Sonic would disappear over night and run off during the day. He had repaired the generator and worked on it in Eggman's privet lab. What made me concerned was how I couldn't manage to translate the second language he muttered to himself.

  Today he had disappeared again. Sonic said he needed parts for the generator's upgrade. I hadn't seen him since.

"What troubles you Master Shadow?" Decoe asked as if he was genuinely worried.

"Has Sonic been speaking to you recently?" I hardly ever noticed this robot and Sonic ignored it constantly, I had forgotten it was given to me.

"No Sir. He hardly notices my existence, which is quite rude I'll have you know," it stood up, "But I have an idea of what he's up to."

"Is that so, then spill it," I ordered.

"He's been working in the Master Emerald and chaos emerald safe room recently. I'm sure he's going to use them with the generator," This robot had a decent theory, but we had no proof of that.

"I haven't found a decent way to punish him. Now that he knows chaos control, I can't contain him..." I clenched my fist, there was nothing I could do unless I found a way to contain his powers. For chaos energy that was nearly impos...sible... That's it, that's how I'll get him under control.

"Tell Eggman I won't return until tonight. I need to give Sonic an official order to follow Rouge's lead before I leave or he'll run wild," I grabbed a backpack and began packing a few things I may need.

"But, where are you going?" Decoe couldn't know, this robot had a habit of opening his big mouth.

"I can't say, but I will return before dinner," I finished packing and left to find Sonic and Rouge. This was my best chance. If the Ark was still functional, I could get exactly what I needed.
  
   
PoV: Sonic

It was nearly done now. The new generator. My uncle could only get it drop a power ring once a day. With the new parts and now advanced convertor, it could create a power ring any time I desired. All I needed now, was a power stone. Chaos emeralds were great, but putting those in battle was to risky. If the emerald was stolen or overloaded the machine then there was no point.

  I added a genetic lock onto the generator. All it needed was a scan of a single hair from my fur or any source of my DNA to completely activate it. It would only make a ring once every three hours if I wasn't the one to use it.

"Sonic," Shadow came in as I was making some last adjustments, "I'm going to be leaving today. While I'm gone, you will obey Rouge and the doctor. Understood?"

"Of course I understand. Have fun on your mission. If you need me just call," I wasn't told about this mission, but Shadow never told me about them. I didn't care, he wouldn't die and my own plans are flexible so it was no concern of mine.

"You kill no one while I'm gone, understood," he started to walk away.

"Fine~ but I'll be bored~ you'll play with me when you come back, right?" I knew teasing him was unnecessary, I just couldn't help myself.

"Hmph. We'll see how your behavior is first," he left and I was all alone. I was done with my work until I could get my hands on a power stone.

  This is going to be too easy.
  
   
PoV: Tails

  I finished... it was ready... A trap to catch Sonic and snap him back to his senses.

"Its ready... we just need the bait," I reached for the chillidogs I had bought today, "You guys have the fake emerald right?"

"I've got it right here," Amy passed it to me.

"Right..." I felt awful, I never wanted to exploit Sonic's weaknesses like this... We didn't have another choice.

"you sure you can handle this?" Amy placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm sure..." I set the emerald into place and hit the final button. A fake chaos emerald signal was now being released. If this didn't work, I'd have to ask the other freedom fighters for help.

  Sorry Sonic, but we're doing this to save you. I won't let you drown, I promise...

  ... but I'm taking my big brother back by force.
