"Sir, I am sorry only two VIP suites are available," the receptionist apologized.

"I even called you yesterday to confirm," said Sai angrily.

"Sir, I am sorry. But Mr. Nathan arrived today."

Sai groaned. Each director in SA hospital had access to a VIP room. Nathan was the son of Dr. Cholan, one of three directors of the hospital. Of course, he got a VIP suite. I have never met Nathan but I have heard about him from Sai. And I hated him on principle.

"Is there any other room available?" I asked.

"Sorry mam, since it's new year's eve all the rooms are full."

"What's taking so long?" grumbled Neethu

"I am going to murder you if she gets on my nerve one more time," I mumbled to Sai.

"She is incorrigible but I will try."

I conveyed to Senthil that only 2 rooms were available and that he should share rooms.

"I don't mind sharing a room with Sai."

Neethu gave a derisive laugh, "Where did you find such an innocent boy toy!"

"Senthil, we are going to share rooms," I said hesitantly. Senthil looked at me in shock.

"Oh my God! Look how cute he is. Ananya, you are wicked."

I wanted to strangle her. Sai pulled Neethu away before I could kill them both; for Neethu being Neethu and Sai for putting me through this ordeal.

"I am sorry," I mumbled as we made it to our suite. It was lavishly decorated with a sitting room, a dining area, and a bedroom. Senthil looked at everything with childish excitement. After depositing our bags in our room we went for lunch.

Senthil had never been to a buffet. I explained to him how things worked, he loaded his plate with his favorites. Neethu and Sai joined us to my disgust.

"Never been to a place like this?" she asked Senthil sarcastically.

"No, I haven't," Senthil replied nonchalantly.

"Anyone could tell just by one look," she said condescendingly.

I was seething as I said, "Sai, I would like some privacy with Senthil, would you mind taking a separate table."

Sai left for a nearby table, Neethu glared at me before she left.

"I am sorry, Senthil," I apologized.

"She didn't say anything that's not true."

After lunch, we went for a walk in the gardens. The climate was pleasant. Senthil took my hands, making me blush.

"You look beautiful when you blush," he complimented, making me blush even more.

"I love you," Senthil said as he tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Me too," I squeaked.

"Excuse me, you dropped your keys," a voice interrupted our daze. We both turned to find a handsome stranger holding our suite key.

"Thanks," I mumbled as I took the key from him.

"Do you mind if I ask you something?"

"No."

"Are you Miss. Ananya? Sorry, I just saw you had keys for the VIP suite."

"Yes, I am Ananya, but I don't recognize you."

"I am Nathan, son of Dr. Cholan. It's nice to meet you." He held out his hands.

I shook it as I said, "It's nice to meet you, too."

"Judging by your expression you have already heard of me. All good things I hope."

I smiled, he and Sai had a very prickly relation as my uncle and Dr. Cholan didn't get along well. From his expression he didn't think for a second I heard anything good about him.

"My father always talks highly of your parents, I am sorry for your loss. No one understands how hard it is to lose one's mother unless they go through it."

"I am sorry," I knew Nathan had also lost his mother when he was young and his father remarried.

"Hi, I am Nathan," he held his hands to Senthil, both shook their hands as I introduced Senthil as my boyfriend.

Sai joined us, pulling me closer as he growled, "Nathan."

"Sai." Nathan replied curtly.

Sai positioned himself excluding Nathan from my view.

"It was nice meeting you Ananya, see you later," Nathan said and walked away.

Once Nathan was out of earshot I pushed Sai away. "If you and Neethu are a package deal just leave me alone. I want to enjoy my time with Senthil."

I took Senthil's hand and pulled him along to the children's park.

I squealed and ran to the swing. I have always liked swings, Senthil chucked. Back home in Canada, my mom installed a swing in our house to stop me from getting into a fight with kids in the park. It's one of the many things I missed.

Senthil borrowed my phone to call his mom. I stopped and watched Senthil. He looked adorable in a white t-shirt and orange jacket as he walked away. My heart filled with love and my vision filled with mud!?

I got up, spitting mud. A tremendous force had acted from my behind and my state of stillness was forced into action, making me lose my balance and fall from the swing. Sounds familiar? The same f-ing Law of inertia. Romantic things can be painful.

And the force that acted on me had a human form and a name, 'Neethu'! Didn't I tell you I hate her? If not just write that on a rock. I hate her.

"Have you never been on a swing? You need to hold on to it to not fall from it."

"Neethu, if you push someone down you apologize first. Your lectures can wait," I said from the floor.

"Get off your high shoe princess!"

"Stop calling me a princess," I sat up and checked the damage.

"Oh, but you are a princess. You can call me a slut in return. Because both are true. And here comes your prince."

I was helped up by Nathan, where did this guy come from? Holding his hand I ambled to the chair. Sai joined me looking anxiously.

"Let me check," Sai said, trying to elbow Nathan away.

Nathan stood his ground firmly and growled, "I am already doing it, Sai."

Both were glaring daggers at each other.

"Here comes another," muttered Neethu.

Senthil was walking towards me, looking curious. Sai and Nathan both were pushing each other completely ignoring me.

"What happened? Why are you covered in dirt?" Senthil asked urgently in concern.

"I fell from the swing."

"See, a princess through and through! Why not just tell them I pushed you? Scared?" taunted Neethu.

I don't pick fights that I can't win. Really what's the point in arguing with her, she would never change. The best way to fight bitches like her is to ignore them completely. Save your energy for something useful.

"Can you help me?" I asked Senthil, holding my hand out.

He bent forward and carried me in bridal style.

"Senthil!" I squealed.

Sai and Nathan didn't stop pushing even after I left.

"Senthil, I can walk. It's just a scratch."

"I know," he said, continuing to walk.

He carried me to the bathroom. "I will wait out," Senthil said, as he gently placed me down.

I bathed, my knees were badly scratched. Senthil was waiting for me in the sitting room with a first aid kid. He gently bandaged the bruises. He cupped my face and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead mumbling, "Please don't be hurt."
