"Happy New Year", we all shouted as we cut a giant cake. Ya! We cut a cake for New Year in India, no New Year's kisses. I fed Senthil and Sai the cake.

Neethu was carrying a giant piece of cake in my direction but the angle in which she held it looked like she was targeting my face, not just my mouth. Before I could react, Neethu was sprawled with her face covered in cream. She stormed off. I saw Nathan retract his legs.

When he noticed me, he smirked as he said, "Happy new year."

"Happy new year, indeed!"

"Can I start my happy new year with a piece of your cake?"

"No, you can't," Sai interrupted.

"You don't get to decide for her."

"Guys, please stop. If you want to pick a fight, just fight. Don't use me as an excuse."

I pulled Senthil to the dance floor. The VIP guests had a separate floor from the rest so it was less crowded. Senthil stood awkwardly.

"Come on, Senthil. Dance with me."

"I don't dance."

"Just shake your hands and head like this." I was going to add dancing to our weekend tuition. No boyfriend of mine should be an awkward dancer.

Sai and Nathan were drunk and fighting in full swing.

"Guys, please stop."

"No!" they said together.

I pulled the cup from Sai's hand and finished it in one shot. I held out a cup to Senthil but he refused.

"Let's play truth or dare," I said.

"We are not in high school." I should have known, peaceful moments without Neethu were not long-lived.

"Well, Neethu. I am a high schooler. You don't have to join if you don't want to"

"You will have to drink 5 shots if you lose," added Sai, throwing a smirk at Nathan.

"I don't drink," Senthil added.

"Ever?" Neethu added condescendingly.

"I will take his place," I added.

We spun the bottle, to my indignation it stopped in front of Neethu. Her eyes glowed maliciously.

"I choose Senthil. Truth or dare?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to kiss me."

I didn't wait for Senthil, I simply drank all 5 shots in one go. I would rather die than see Senthil kiss her or anyone for that matter. He is mine, I clutched his hand possessively.

"I choose Neethu. Truth or Dare?" Senthil asked.

"Truth," she said.

"Why do you hate Ananya?" I looked at Senthil in surprise, never expecting him to ask something like this.

"What's there to like about her?"

"That's not an answer."

"She is practically a princess, while both of us are charity cases for her. I choose Ananya. Truth or dare?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to kiss Nathan."

"Kiss! Is that all you can think of?" Sai scoffed. He drank 5 shots in my place.

"My turn, I choose Nathan. Truth or dare?" I said.

"Dare."

"I dare you to hug Sai and say, 'I am sorry'."

"What makes you think I am the one in the wrong."

"Just do the dare, if you dare," Sai scowled at Nathan like he would shoot him if he dared to take a step towards him.

"I would rather drink the five shots." And he did.

"I choose Sai, truth or dare?" asked Nathan.

"Dare!"

After that Sai and Nathan just dared each other, I have never played such a boring Truth or Dare in my life. I wish I had just let them to their drinking match, at least they would have gotten drunk faster. Dare started with eating chilies and went up to drinking one's piss. We had to pull them apart when Nathan dared Sai to kiss him and they started French-kissing.

I dragged Sai and Senthil helped Nathan. Neethu was nowhere to be seen.

"Anu... have I told you how much I love you?" Sai mumbled.

"Not enough."

"It was an accident that I dropped you in Luxembourg, I wasn't mocking you."

He stopped looking me in the eye, "I am sorry, will you forgive me?"

"Sai, I have already forgiven you."

"But I haven't."

"You should."

We finally reached Sai's room, but he didn't have the key on him. We just dumped both Nathan and Sai in Nathan's suite.

I barely opened my room, when Senthil's lips came crashing into mine.
