Karn Putra Daksh

It's been a year since the father son duo is ruling the land of Magadh. The kingdom is prospering day by day. But today is a happy as well as mournful day for the people of Magadh.

At the banks of Ganga

It's still dawn. The atmosphere is soothing. At the banks of the holy Janhavi 2 men are offering his prayers to the king of navgraha, the Sun. They are the famous father-son duo about whom the whole Aryavart knows. Both of them have a golden glow on their face but still a tinge of sorrow rests on their face. They have to stay away from each other for a couple of upcoming years. Today one of them is leaving to win the whole Aryavart by his Digvijaya Yatra. It's tough but it's necessary. All the people who are oppressed under the rule of the ruthless adharmi Kshatriyas need to be freed from the shackles of oppression. Soon the sun emerged out of the horizon thus illuminating the whole prithvi. Soon both of them opened their eyes as their Pooja was over.

Daksh: Hey Suryanarayan, bless my pitashree so that he successfully completes his yatra and returns back to this kingdom victorious. (Mind voice)

Karn: Hey Suryanarayan, bless my Putra so that he can handle the rajya more efficiently than me in my absence.(Mind voice)

Suryadev increased his brightness and warmth as if blessing both of them for their upcoming future. The duo then galloped their horses and reached the rajbhavan. On reaching the palace they went to their respective chambers to get ready for the day. The people of Magadh especially the palace workers are very busy since morning. Their favourite king is gonna leave for his Digvijaya Yatra and therefore everyone was preparing for that. Radha and Adhirath too came to bid bye to their son. After breakfast all the family members arrived at the palace gates. Radha did arti of Karn wishing him success.

Radha: Vijayi Bhava putra. I pray for your success.i will be waiting for you.

Karn: Yes mata. I will come back to you soon

Daksh: Pitashree I know you will win every war. And you will return as Digvijayi Karn. Bless me pitashree so that I can handle the kingdom in your absence.

Karn: Ayushman bhava putra. You will handle the kingdom very well, I know that.

Karn touched the feet of his parents and the elderly couple blessed him wholeheartedly. Karn with his army started their journey towards the west.

1 year later.

It was a normal day at Magadh. The sabha was going on and Daksh was doing his duties with utmost sincerity. The ministers and other members of court were also happy with the decisions of Daksh. They could not find even a single fault in his judgements. He was truly Karn's son. The throne of king is empty since 1 year. And the emptiness could also be felt by everyone. They miss thei king as well as the playfulness of their Yuvraj. All of a sudden a soldier entered the court.

Soldier: Yuvraj Daksh ki Jai ho. A messenger came from koshal.

Daksh nodded his head to the soldier indicating him to let the messenger in. A few moments later messenger entered the court.

Messenger: Yuvraj Daksh ki Jai ho. You have a message from Maharaj of Koshal.

Daksh: Read it loud.

Messenger:

Yuvraj Daksh,
Pranipat.

I, Brihadbala, Maharaj of Koshal, Father of Rajkumari Bhairavi, am organizing the Swayamvar of my only daughter Bhairavi.

I would like to invite you to attend the Swayamvar which will be conducted after 2 weeks. It would be my pleasure to have you as my son in law though it totally depends on the results of the Swayamvar and also depends on the opinion of my daughter. But still I request you to participate in the Swayamvar.

I hope to get a positive response from your side.

Daksh was shocked. He never expected such an invitation. Actually he never thought of marriage. But it would seem rude if he directly rejects the invitation. And on what basis will he reject? What excuse should he present? It's not like that Maharaj of Koshal has any problem with caste. It is also known to everyone that he is adopted son of his father. But still why does Maharaj Brihadbala wants her daughter to get married to Him ?

Daksh: I need some time to think about it. So please accept the hospitality of Magadh till then. Court is dismissed for now.

Saying so he directly went to his room and sat infront of his father's portrait which was once drawn by himself.

Daksh: What should I do pitashree? I am unsure about this matter. You never married because of me. Now how can I marry a girl all of a sudden. You are not even present here with me.

A pigeon suddenly came and sat on the shoulder of Daksh. A letter was tied to it's leg. Daksh took the letter and started reading the letter.

Dear Daksh,

I hope you are doing well putra. You must have recieved the invitation of swayamvar of princess Bhairavi. I know what you are thinking now. But don't worry putra. Your pitashree will be very much happy to see you married. He had his own reasons for not marrying anyone. But you have a life ahead. And it becomes a little bit easy when you have partner. And trust me. You won't regret this decision.
I hope I successfully made you understand. Hope to meet you at swayamvar.

Daksh(to himself): This man knows everything. Hufff.

But his doubts were cleared now. He decided to attend the Swayamvar. He summoned the messenger and told him that he would attend the Swayamvar. The next day the messenger left Magadh.

Well I am sorry. I couldn't update for a few days.

Readers: Only few days? You didn't update for weeks.

Me: *Nervous chuckles* Hey hey hey, don't be angry please. I can't promise regular updates. But I want to reveal something about the story. The story is becoming boring I guess. But next chapter will be on Swayamvar of Bhairavi. And then after 2 or 3 chapters I will show a leap of few years. Maybe after 6 or 5 chapters I will write about the preparations of war. My main plan was to write about the war. But maybe I am moving out of the track. But I will try to write more exciting chapters. So I hope you guys can forgive me now for the delay.
