Karn Putra Daksh

~:The Beginning:~

The first day of destruction began with the news of death of Kuru kulvadhu, rajmata Satyavati. Mahamuni ved vyas visited Hastinapur to convey the news and to deliver the remainings of Rajmata Satyavati to Maharaj Dhritarashtra. He also gifted the advisor of Dhritarashtra, Sanjaya with divine vision so that he could keep the king updated with all the events occurring in the war of kurukshetra.

At Kurukshetra

Enemies from the same family were standing against each other. They were all ready with their weapons to cut each other's throats. Kauravas' chief commandant Bhishm was shocked to see his guru Parshuramji as charioteer of karn. As always he being the ardent follower of his dharma kept his weapons aside and joined his hands. This surprised the people.

Bhishm: Gurudev, I can't fight against you again. Why are you here as a charioteer? This is not your position. Magadhraj you could have appointed someone else as you charioteer but why Gurudev. His place is not there.

Parshuramji: Why are you asking him Bhishm? This is my decision that I want to guide my student as his charioteer. And moreover you are not going to fight me. Your opponent is karna. Pick up the weapons bhishm. And fight!

Daksh: Mahahmahim ye yudh jab bhaiyo ka rishta nahi dekh raha to guru shishya ka rishta to bohot dur ki baat hai. Hum sab yaha keval shatru hai.( mahamahim if this war is not bothered about brothers fighting with brothers then the relationship of student and teacher is nothing in this war. Here we all are only enemies. And nothing else.)

Daksh: Ye Kurus or unka ye drama.

Author: Drama to hai. Par drama nahi hota to meri story bhi nahi hoti or tu bhi nahi hota.

Daksh: Ha ha pata hai. Ja raha hu mai. Faltu time nahi hai mere paas. Kurukshetra me yudh bhi karna hai. I am a very very biji manushya you know.

Soon the sound of shankhnath marked the beginning of the war. Pandavas created vajra vyuh. But Bhishma did not created any vyuh in the beginning. He just ordered his soldiers to attack.

The Pandavas still relied on other kings  and thus didn't hand over any big responsibility to Karn and Daksh at first. According to those egoistic and chauvinistic kings, presence of Karn, Daksh and Bhairavi were not necessary in this war. But Vasudev was smart enough to keep Karn and Arjun together as according to him both of them have the power to destroy an entire army with their Gandiva and Vijaya so their combined power will surely be more deadly. Daksh willingly chose to accompany upapandavas as they were not so experienced warriors.

The mighty pandava, Bheemsen was busy fighting the soldiers. His one blow was enough to smash a good number of soldiers. Sahdev, the younger Madreya, fought with Gandhar Raj. Initially it was seen that Pandavas were going in the right direction. And seeing this the Yuvraj of Hastinapur started panicking. His only motive was winning over the Pandavas as soon as possible. He wanted to get his hands on the eldest pandava soon. He reminded the Mahamahim of Hastinapur to do something and not to forget his vow. But the backbone of entire
Hastinapur, Bheeshma pitamaha told him, “Yuvraj Duryodhan, I won't let you loose untill I am alive but as long as Pandavas are together you cannot win."

Here Karna and Arjun were destroying the soldiers of Hastinapur. Arjun's arrows soon converted into fireballs where as Karn's arrows multiplied killing many. Both were in leading position of the Vajra vyuh. In the midst of war Yudhishthir ordered Arjun to move the vyuh to Duryodhan.

Yudhishthir: Arjun take the vyuh towards Duryodhana.

Arjun: As you command Jyeshth.

Karn: Samrat Yudhishthir, this might trap us in return. Think once more. They will surely try to reach you. And till now Mahamahim didn't start attacking. I smell some trap.
