Chapter 99:

"Miss me?" I asked Mikey who seemed quite shocked about the revelation, but he still looked empty.

"You were alive all this time?" He asked with the same dull expression he had ever since he arrived.

"Alive? I've been dead the moment you first left me," I told him, "You abandoned me, Manjiro"

"What are you talking about? You were the one who left" He told me, 

"I left because you abandoned me on several occasions," I told him, I held my shoulder where I was shot because it's starting to be excruciatingly painful again, I examined Sanzu from my peripheral vision and once I locked on him, I dashed towards him and roundhouse kicked him, knocking him on the floor.

He did not expect me to come after him but I needed what he had.

The gun.

I grabbed the gun and quickly pointed it at Mikey.

"How does it feel being abandoned by everyone important to you?" I asked him with a huge grin on my face. "I want you to feel what I felt when you left,"

"I didn't leave you," Mikey told me.

"Oh but you did, in the future, in every future timeline, you left me," I told him, "I was there when Takemichi told you about the future, I saw it, each and every future, not a single future did you stay with me, why? What did I do? I stayed with you no matter how complicated things got, but you abandoned me"

"Akaza--" Mikey started off,

"Shut up!" I screamed at him, "You saw it too didn't you? The last future, you shot me and jumped off the building, how could you?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," He said 

"I've always hated you," I told him, "My parents abandoned me, Shinichiro left me, and now Draken, soon so will you"

"Akaza," Mikey said, but I don't want to listen to whatever bullshit he has to say,

"Let's end this here, you'll finally get to join Shinichiro, Emma and Baji" I told him. "Goodbye, Mikey," I said as I pulled the trigger and shot Mikey 3 times but Mikey just stood there with the same uninterested look he had.

Something unexpected happened, Shirogane Ryuuji, my vice-president ran in front of Mikey and saved Mikey from the gunshots, hitting him in the chest multiple times.

My eyes grew wide, I was shocked to see my vice-president defying me, he took the bullets for Mikey, but why?

He fell and on the floor and started coughing out blood.

"Akaza-san, you'll thank me later for this," He said with a smile on his face, "Mikey-kun, please save Akaza-san, she just wanted to save you from your dark future but on the way she made wrong turns and ended up like this, I don't want her to regret anything with her life, you're the only one who can save her," he told Mikey who just stared at him

I watch as the light in Ryuuji's eyes fade,

I killed Ryuuji, I murdered the only person who has never abandoned me no matter how stupid and dangerous things got.

But why don't I feel sad about it?

Looking at Ryuuji's lifeless body laying down in front of me, I feel nothing. Even looking at Mikey, the person who used to be my world, my everything, I feel nothing.

If there was one thing I felt towards Mikey, it was hatred, but other than that. I feel empty.

What happened to me?

I was too lost in thought I didn't even realize Mikey approached me, I snapped out of my trance and saw Mikey was standing right in front of me. He grabbed the gun from my hand and tossed it to the side then walked past me.

What just happened?

"What's wrong, Mikey? Still can't hit girls?" I mocked Mikey who just ignored me, I grabbed his arm, stopping him from his tracks.

But that seemed to trigger him.

He pulled his arm away from my grip then quickly roundhouse kicked me in the head, knocking me down on the floor.

"I don't care who you are, if you don't want to die right now, better stay down" Mikey told me as I groaned in pain.

"You really had the audacity to hit girls now?" Kakucho said as he faced Mikey, he then started punching Mikey from left to right, but Mikey just stood there and took it, "This isn't like you Mikey!"

Kakucho continued to hit Mikey but Mikey still wouldn't budge.

"What's wrong, Mikey?!" Kakucho asked "Are you holding back on me? Then why are you even here!?"

I slowly got up and dragged myself towards Mikey and Kakucho, but with all my injuries and the amount of blood I'm losing, it's difficult to even move an inch.

I saw Mikey stared at his hand and mumbled something,

"Ken-chin," He started off, he then turned to face me, his eyes were completely dead, "Aka-chin, I'm empty inside," He said.

I don't know if I was hallucinating but I could see a shroud of darkness consume Mikey, his eyes turned from what was once dead into an eyes of someone who would kill.

His eyes were full of hatred and despair.

He then turned back to Kakucho who got so intimidated with Mikey. and to be honest, so was I.

Mikey attacked Kakucho, Kakucho was badly defeated with just a blink of an eye. He couldn't even lay a single finger on Mikey and yet he was badly defeated.

Kakucho, the strongest fighter in Tenjiku and second to South in Rokuhara Tandai got easily defeated by Sano Manjiro.

"Mikey--" I mumbled lowly, I was sad to see Mikey turn into this. At this rate, the dark future that awaits him will continue to exist, I have to stop him now.

It's now or never.

A vision suddenly appeared in my head.

I died.

I was laying on the floor, my head was cracked open, and I was swimming in a pool of my own blood. 

"Mikey, how could you do this to Akaza-chan!" I heard Takemichi cry,

So I got killed by Mikey, huh?

I turned to face Ryuuji's lifeless body, and I smiled at him.

"I guess I'll be joining you soon, buddy" I said as I headed to Mikey who was now facing Terano South.

Looks like the villain of this show will have her final fight scene.
