"We can't forget these beauties!" Alice cooed as she hugged a pair of dainty white ballerina shoes on her chest. Tomi remembers the little pixie jumping with joy when she agreed to buy them, and it was no surprise that Tomi had found herself wearing them only once since they'd bought it, which was a party for Rosalie's birthday.
"You sure you don't wanna keep 'em?" The girl teased, her eyes widening with false excitement as she jumped in place. Shadows seeped from under her palm, and began to tug at a strand of her hair. She sighed, and scolded it away with a little laugh. Edward had taken to doing that since- well, ever since he'd found out he could, really. The guy was a little rascal.
"Oh, no, you need to knock all of these little Alaskans off whatever throne they think they're sitting on."
"Oh come on," Tomi snapped the shoes away from the smaller brunette and quickly shoved it into her luggage. "I'm not going with the intentions to become their prom queen. I'm going for the Elementals."
"No harm in doing both," Alice chirped with her cheeky little smile plastered all over her face. It was a mask, but a neat mask alright. Alice was hiding her worry with the other sort of emotion she was most comfortable with.
"Whatever," Tomi blew a strand of pesky white hair from her face and zipped the bag tightly. Just when all of her bags were stacked, a sound from outside grappled with her eardrums. Charlie's car had just pulled in.
Right. Charlie was driving them to the airport.
"Alright," Alice and her began down the hallway, one trailing behind with her luggage and backpack while the other rushed ahead on her tippy toes. "I also packed some... undergarments in there," Alice waved a little finger at the bag on top of the pitch black luggage.
"Alice," Tomi facepalmed. "You were supposed to pack cosmetics."
"Oh, I did that too!" Alice jumped, waving her arms around as they reached the patio entrance where Edward stood waiting for them. He was wearing a thin green polo shirt with black slacks, a jacket she didn't recognize covering his arms from any peaks the sun may recklessly send to Forks. His hair was a bit messy as if she'd pushed a hand through it like she does every morning after waking, thanks to the wind.
