Gwendolyn, Edward and Tomi had split for their morning classes, noticing that Edward and Tomi only shared their afternoon classes and Gwendolyn only one which was tomorrow.
When lunch came around and none of them had shared classes with the coven of Elementals yet, they began to wonder how difficult this would really be if if none of them shared classes.
They sat all together at a table near the exit, brooding over their food. Gwendolyn was merely tossing the food around, not daring to swallow anything, Edward had a hand against his cheek and he was leaning onto the table, his eyes half closed as he peered at his mate.
Tomi, her, was slowly digging into her carrots, pout on her lips.
"Can we talk about how I didn't know Gwendolyn could read minds?" Tomi decided to break the silence, diverting her eyes to the Mother of all elementals.
The redhead scrunched her carefully curved nose and her apple-red cheeks, shaking her head at the youngster. "I can't."
"But in the car-"
"I can feel emotions," She cleared up. "Comes with thousands of years of living on this planet. Call it empathy."
"For someone with empathy, you surely have a hard time dealing with your own emotions." Edward mumbled, slipping his hand under his chin.
"Shut it, Cullen."
The man shot her a cheeky smile before shooting a wink at Tomi. She smiled, digging a hand in her own hair to curl around her finger the strands Edward usually played with. Their eyes lingered a little, and his face turned loving instead of joking, his eyes sparking alive with.. realization. Like he couldn't believed she was his, that this was his life. Her heart squeezed, but before she could do anything about the urge to jump over the table and have him right there, Gwendolyn spoke up.
"Pack of girls coming our way."
Tomi's head shot up in time to see them come. There was a brunette in front of them, wearing a cheerleader outfit that matched those of her friends standing behind her. She smiled with a sickening beauty, though it was no match to Gwendolyn, and leaned down on the table.
