Gwendolyn was wandering the hall aimlessly, having grown bored of the class she was obligated to follow.

Obligated was a grand word, of course. Nothing forced Gwendolyn to stay in this town, and no one would keep her seated in the uncomfortable wood chairs of the classes either, but if she wanted to help those elementals....

Gwendolyn's lips curled down.

Those Elementals were proving to be more difficult to help then she had thought. They hadn't even done much, aside from befriending Lehada, hadn't even went too close to them, and the family already hated them. And that was a slight word for the emotions that had swallowed her whole the other day.

Eryn, somehow, had been the only one who's emotions she hadn't felt.

Coming to an halt at the foot of the doors, she stared at the rain falling outside. How she hated the cold. She hated everything that had to do with shivers and ice and snow.

But, she also didn't do very well with the sort of warmth that was suffocating.

Gwendolyn didn't like many things, but perhaps, she sort of appreciated the company that Tomi gave her. Sometimes.

"Well, well. What do we have here."

She turned at the voice, willing so quickly that her hair slapped the thought intruder in the face.

He recoiled at that, grabbing his jaw.

"Ow."

She narrowed her eyes. "Eryn."

"I'm still waiting for an apology."

Her eyebrows knitted closer, but she soon soothed the anger inside her and tried to use the tips Tomi had given her to go forward.

Believing is seeing.

"I'm sorry." She cringed inwardly at the words.

He rubbed his cheek, a little higher this time, his smirk growing even bigger at her outburst. "That's better."

Oh, he irked her.

"What're you doing, skipping class?"

"I'm not.." She stared at his features, only realizing he was messing with her when his amusement grew around her nerves like vines. Amusement- and a tang of bitterness. Like sweet mimosa with too much alcohol. She just couldn't identify that last feeling- which made her want to rend the world to pieces, because she always had the easiest time finding out about other people's emotions. "I just needed a breather."
