HAYDEN

I drove Piper to my house, it was 2 in the morning as we reached home.

She slept throughout the 10 minutes ride squeezing her penguin stuff toy that Jacob and I gifted her in 5th grade. I smiled at her, wondering how can someone fall asleep so quickly?

But then again it's 2 AM she must be tired.

I carried her in my arms as I took her to Sarah's bedroom. Her backpack was on my shoulder.

I placed her carefully hoping I won't wake her up, I don't wanna take her sleepy punches. They hurt harder. I kept her backpack on the nightstand.

Closing the light I made my way towards the kitchen.

Mom was already in the kitchen.

"Didn't know you love the late-night snacks too, you know you shouldn't at this age." I teased.

"Oh please, you forgot your classmates always thought I was yours and Sarah's elder sister?" She said rolling her eyes as she chopped the strawberries placing them on the milkshake.

"That looks fancy. Dad is gonna love it." I said looking at the strawberry and oreo cookie milkshake on the counter that's making me drool.

"That's not for him, it's for Piper I saw you left to get her" Damn, my mom is such a Sherlock we can't ever sneak but also so sweet to prepare this at 2 in the morning.

"She's sleeping." I informed her.

"She is not." Piper said from behind making me almost jump.

"Hey, sweetie." My mom walked towards her taking her in a hug. As she places a kiss on her forehead.

"You didn't have to you know, but I'm not complaining. I could detect  that milkshake scent from the room so I ran immediately before Hayden drinks mine too." Piper said smiling widely.

"He wouldn't dare to, that belongs to my P only." My mom said glaring at me I just raised my hand in surrender.

"I love you, sorry for being an invader in your house again." Piper said apologetically.

"Stop, don't even think about ever saying that, I've always told you to come stay with us. Sarah's room is all yours and I'm sure she won't mind. She loves you more than Hayden you know, right? Please move in." My mom said.

"Wow, nice ways to make me feel unloved." I said narrowing my eyes.

"She loves you but Sarah always wanted a baby sister." She confessed.
