HAYDEN

I tossed my shoes away as soon as mom unlocked the door.

Which rewarded me with a slap on my hand. I gave her a flying kiss before running to my room.

Piper and Jake have already left for their home. It feels oddly empty every time they leave after staying here. I miss them even though I'll probably meet them by tomorrow.

Dad has already called his dietician on the way and now is in the gym room. Cool. I hope he stays focused.

I removed my jeans as soon as I walked into my room, closing the door behind. Before tossing it in my laundry basket.

Removing jeans after a long day is the best feeling ever. I don't know how to put it in words, but if I try, it feels just how one would feel when they dive into the ocean at a tropical place.

I decided to take shower before bed. Water therapy makes everything better.

As I close my eyes, letting the water do its thing, I felt relaxed underneath it until...

...Just like the notification ring, my mind notified me about something that I nearly forgot about.

Ting! New notification.
: you've got one more note from your secret admirer
From: Your own brain.

I think the only person, who makes me suffer the most is ME! Why can't I just have control over what my brain decides to show me? Remind me? I wish things would have worked that way.

I tried to push the thoughts away for a bit. As I pushed my hair from my forehead.

My brain: so it was Brittany then...

Me: Stop, don't go back there, focus on how this warm water feels so good against my body.

My brain: how couldn't you guess it, you're so dumb. This proves that all the A's in your report card, aren't gonna make you a pro in a school of Life.

Me: Shut the fuck up.

Damn! I'm going insane now.

But then again when I was not? Shower debates aren't new to me. It's like Me and my brain are two different individuals.

I wrapped the towel around my waist, my hair still dripping all over. I walked out, as the icy cold wind made me shiver.

I quickly got dressed in comfy clothes. Mom already ordered us pizza for dinner which dad isn't allowed to eat. I think it's her way to annoy him.

Once I was done with my dinner and watching Sixteen Candles forcefully with my Mom, like really why does she even enjoys that movie?

Every time I've watched it with Sarah and Mom, Sarah has always answered for Mom with "Duh, look at Jake Ryan" which has never failed to make me roll my eyes.
