Alpha Reaper's Point Of View

I could feel through my newly established bond with Alexander that he was in pain and currently getting his ass handed to him. I knew from my bond that I shared with my twin that it was him administrating the punishment. As much as I wanted to stop their little spat, Alexander deserved what Reed was going to dish him but also I knew that I had more important matters to deal with, like who the hell found the bouncers of our pack.

Our pack was in the middle of no where, we had spent years on this land, building everything brick by brick, creating a home for those wolves who were rejected. This was the place for second chances. Amongst the Kingdom, rejection was a taboo subject and was something that was unheard of. Unfortunately it was much more common than anyone had realised. Not everyone hear were victims of The Order, some people plainly rejected their mate with no care for the repercussions.

My wolf was blessed, she was known as a Spirit Wolf with an innate ability to connect with a human's wolf. Through my support and training, I helped the rejected wolf move on with their life. Although there was pain, some had even managed to develop and form a new relationship with a mate. Those who had were gifted a second chance by the Goddess. It was rare but it did happen. What the people who rejected their mates didn't know was that their would a sacrifice on their part for their decision to go against their Goddess.

I was running through trees and pushing through bushes as I made my way to the outskirts of our pack boarder to see what the potential threat was. Being blessed by the Goddess gave me powers to protect the people I saved. I was able to use the Goddess' gifts to create a barrier that not only kid us from the open eye but stopped people from entering our lands. It had this unique ability to get people to pass the area without second thought. That was why I didn't understand how someone had found us.

It wasn't before long that I had the tapping of footsteps behind me and with a quick inhale I could sense that it was my child following me. I presume her father didn't want her to witness the violence that Reed would cause. I was glad that she was away from them because they had their own issues to deal with as they were once best friends. I know people may wonder I wasn't honest with Reed about my mate, he was nothing but loyal and a sworn protector. However, I was scared he would seek Alexander out and get himself killed. At the time of losing my child, I wasn't prepared to lose him as well.

I was soon at the edge of the boarders and both me and Leyla halted our steps. There on the edge of the pack boarders stood a tall man, he wasn't bulky but neither was he lanky. His hair was messy and he was in a pair of beige trousers with a white linen shirt. He wasn't old and he wasn't young either. My estimation was that he was in late twenties or early thirties. He was holding nothing but a beige bag. His hair was red and his eyes were a deep emerald colour. I had no idea who he was, for he was neither someone that I had come across and he was not someone I recognised.

As Leyla stood next to me, she gasped and whispered. "It's Drew."

"Drew?" I questioned.

"Nona told me his name was Drew but I didn't realise it was this Drew." Leyla said excitedly.

"You know who he is then?" I asked wearily.

"Yes! Drew is the one that Nona sent the empty fluid drip to, he is the scientist that I said who may be able to work out what is in that poison that has been developed by The Order!" She exclaims.

"How did he find us though Leyla? How do we know we can trust him?" The worry in my voice was clear.

"Mum, did you know Nona?" She's asks. I give her a curt nod. "Nona was someone who I trusted, she would never let any harm come to me. She protected me and helped me escape the Royal Pack. She told me to search for Drew and that he would help me. I can't say how he found us but I trust Nona's judgement. He was someone that grew up around me when I was small. I have nothing but good memories of him." She explains.
