Chapter 30 - The Decision

"Avan vandhutaana?" asked Ashwin' father while getting the morning cup of coffee from his wife

"Hmm.. 5 o clock vandhaannu Vasanth sonnaan" replied his mother.

"Please kovapadaama avan kitta amaidhiya pesunga, kenji kekaren, romba varusham kazhichu we got him back, edhavadhu solli avan en kitta irundhu thirumba pirichiraadheenga" she pleaded to her husband

"Enakku kovam illa Sudha, varutham dhaan, evalo periya vishayam, evalo easy ah marachitaan, ava vera enna ennamo solra, orey payyannu pothi pothi valathom, aana avan life la edhuvume naama ninaikara maari nadakalaye" replied his father in a vexed tone.

"Vidunga, ezhundhu varattum, let us give him a chance to explain" said his mother sitting next to her husband, her mind rewinding the previous day's incident.

She was in the kitchen when she heard commotion near the entrance that she came out.

"Yaaru pa Vasanth" she came out of the kitchen while enquiring her house staff

But Vasanth did not reply but was just standing there not knowing what to reply.

"Hello Aunty" smiled Sivaangi at the elderly woman

"Sivaangi, vaa vaa, eppadi ma irukka? aana nee enna panra inga? eppo vandha..." she started bombarding Sivaangi with questions but her voice started trailing of when she saw two minions peeping out from behind Sivaangi with shyness and anxiousness overflowing in their eyes.

The moment Ashwin's mother saw them she froze, the most uncanny resemblance the kids had with her own kid gave her the answer to the question before she could even spell it out.

"Idhu Nethra, Mithra" answered Sivaangi pulling them from behind her.

"Okkandhu pesalaama aunty?" asked Sivaangi trying to jolt the woman out of shock

"Aaaann... aaann... vaa ma" Ashwin's mother started walking towards the gigantic sofa placed in the middle of the living room while turning back every second to see the cuties following her.

"Sorry Aunty, ippadi unannounced ah vandhudhadhukku, when I decided to come back to India, other than Chennai, the first place that came to mind is here, mannichudunga if I had taken too much liberty" said Sivaangi in an apologetic tone

Ashwin's mother continued to stare at the kids, before she could reply she heard her husband's voice

"Yaaru Sudha vandhirkaanga? Adadey, Sivaangi ah, vaa ma, nee enna panra inga? avan Chennai la irukaan" he said sitting in front of them in another sofa

"Aamam ivanga yaaru? therinjavanga kozhandhaingala? " he asked looking at the kids getting a murderous stare from his wife.

"Enna business magnet ah irundhu enna proyojanam, theva patta nerathula moola correct ah back vaangidum" murmured Ashwin's mother bringing a confused look from her husband and a smile from Sivaangi

"Illa Uncle, en kozhandhainga" replied Sivaangi

"What? un kozhandhaingala? appo unakku kalyanam aagiducha? appo Ashwin ivalo naal SG la time waste pannitu irundhaana? " Lakshmikanthan asked his voice raising a little bit

"Illa uncle enakku innum kalyanam aagala and Ashwin time waste pannirndha naan inga en vara poren?" Sivaangi asked back

"Enna solra, onnume purilaye" he replied

"Ayo, yennikku dhaan ungalukku purinjirkku, andha kozhandhainga moonjiya paarunga, andha photo va paarunga, appo vaadhu puridha paakaren" said Ashwin's mother face palming herself.
