Chapter Twelve: Special
I received another text from Genevieve this morning because she will be busy again and won't be able to attend school, kahit na 'di naman talaga siya busy at ayaw niya lang pumasok sa school ulet.
This is one of the moments where I would hate Genevieve dahil ngayon... wala na 'kong motivation para pumunta sa canteen kung hindi ko naman siya kasama.
Although, nakakagutom at parang gusto 'kong i-try yung bagong curly fries ng school. Balita ko may BBQ sauce na rin sila. I love BBQ sauce, and I really hate Genevieve for not coming to school. But I don't want to be selfish, who knows maybe may nangyari nga talaga kaya 'di siya makapunta.
I have no choice, don't I? Nagugutom ako, I'm craving for that BBQ sauce and new curly fries.
Baka nga may meron nanaman silang bagong pagkain na 'di ko alam. Bibilhin ko lang yung curly fries with the BBQ sauce tapos kakain ako sa loob ng classroom.
"Seryoso na'tin ah." muntik ko nang mabitawan yung librong hawak hawak ko nang marinig ko ang boses ni Alexander sa tabi ko.
"Shit... Alex..."
"What? I'm just concerned... you're too serious." tawa niyang sambit.
This time, 'di na siya pinagpapawisan dahil 'di naman siya naglaro today. The gym is closed for a week now for some reason, I'm guessing for the preparation for the graduation.
The senior high school students are so lucky, college and finally joining the adult world--the real adult world.
Lucky... but sometimes unlucky. 'Di mo alam kung handa ka na talaga, maybe you could say handa ka na pero paano kung nandoon ka na, talagang bang handa ka na?
It scares me sometimes, I'm only in high school, ano bang alam ko sa buhay?
"I'm always serious."
"I know, I know. Masyadong focused diyan sa libro na ya'n." dagdag niya at inagaw ang libro mula sa kamay ko at binalik yo'n sa book shelf sa libro ko.
"I was thinking kung kukunin ko ba."
"It's been five minutes, Rina."
"Ugh, Alex." inakbayan niya 'ko and gave me a pat on top of my head before pulling away.
"I'll just buy you a new book for your birthday. Oh! How about a book gift card?" he laughed.
Me and Alexander are inside the school library para sa essay na'min for our English class.
Pareho kami nang essay na gagawin, kailangan na'ming maghanap nang libro sa school library and write an analytical essay and what we think about the book. I've been thinking about reading a Jane Austen book or just a normal romance book.
I already chose a book I will be reading and using and that would be Worthless, written by Jonaxx.
Medyo na-eexcite ako dahil 'di ko inaakalang mapapadpad yung libro ni Jonaxx dito sa school library na'min. It's easily one of my favorite stories from her... I am madly in love with Noah Elizalde.
How I wish I was his Megan.
"That's nice..." I smiled at him.
"What do you think of this?" tanong niya.
Lumingon ako at binasa ang titulo ng libro na pinili niya para sa essay niya.
