Chapter Fifty Three: Getting Hot

"Kanina ka pa. Sino yan?"

I accidentally pressed the wrong app sa phone ko, rereplayan ko sana si Alexander tungkol sa date na'min mamayang gabi, nagulat tuloy ako dahil kay Genevieve na nagmamaneho.

Binalik ko yung phone ko sa loob ng bag at pinokus na lang ang atensyon ko sa daan.

"Anong kanina?"

"You're texting someone again, manliligaw 'no?"

"Manliligaw?" natawa ako sa sinabi niya.

Kung alam mo lang, Genevieve. Wala akong manliligaw, may boyfriend na po ako.

I can't tell her yet, well, I was about to tell her yesterday kaso nalaman ko na pumunta pala siya sa isang party tapos andon daw si Ares.

'Di ako makapaniwala sa narinig ko nung sinabi niya yo'n sakin. They didn't talk or meet, Genevieve just left immediately.

She's still avoiding Ares until to this day.

'Di pa rin yata siya handa na makita si Ares, I get why but she's gonna meet him again and again because they both work in the same industry.

"Wala akong manliligaw, eh ikaw? Meron?"

"Please, Rina. Sino namang manliligaw sa'kin?"

I smirked at her, I could tell by her reaction na alam niya kung ano ang ibig kong sabihin, she just chuckled at pinalo yung kamay ko.

"C'mon, he's not courting me."

"Oh, please, Genevieve Diamante. Roses, jewelries, gifts, and gifts! He's spoiling you way too much, tapos 'di ka niya nililigawan?"

She knows I'm right. She is avoiding him and tries to not associate with him and yet he's still trying his best to give her the best of the best.

She even received an expensive Hermes bag from Ares, she knew she couldn't just throw it away dahil ang mahal no'n!

Kahit ako nagulat, grabe.

Ang dami rin kaya niyang nareceive na Cartier bracelets galing kay Ares. Ares is so fucking rich it's crazy, tapos siya na yung nagmamanage ng Cardoza Angels, he's basically my boss... and so is Alexander.

"He's not courting me, and I won't let him. Besides, he hasn't been sending any for a while now. Maybe he's finally given up." tawa niyang sagot.

Ares giving up?

E 'di sana matagal na siyang gumiveup, pero ilang taon na wala pa ring tigil kakaregalo at kakasulat ng mga letters na may sulat na mahal ka niya.

"I'm telling you right now, he won't give up, Genevieve."

Last time I talked to Ares, ramdam ko na talagang mahal niya pa rin si Genevieve, I do feel that they'll meet again and have an actual conversation with each other soon.

I just don't know what would Genevieve do once they meet and share a conversation with each other.

Oh, well. I would help her, pero love life niya 'to at 'di akin. May sarili akong love life na kailangang pagisipan, it just started too, you know.

Bumaba kami sa kotse siya at pumili sa Max's Restaurant dito sa MOA.

"If he didn't, I'll tell you." bulong niya.
