Chapter Fifty: Loving You

Obsession. How do you know the extent of that word? From what? From watching shows about someone THAT obsessed with another person?

Pictures.

Pictures of me everywhere in that board, pictures that shouldn't even be seen unless you stalk my mom in Facebook.

I'm confused and... surprised.

Alexander.

Alexander might be obsessed with me.

And so we stand here in the same room, and me with a question that is in need of hundreds of answers.

"...why do you have pictures of me...in your fucking board...in your room?" I ask, stuttering.

'Di pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nakikita ko. E'to ba ang dahilan kung bakit sinabi ni Mrs. Cardoza at ni Silas na tumingin sa kwarto niya.

I didn't think it'd be like this.

Bago pa ako tumalikod para harapin siya, niyakap niya 'ko patalikod at mahigpit ang pagkakayakap niya sa'kin.

My heart is beating fast and I am gasping for air, 'di ko alam kung anong gagawin ko o kung ano bang kailangan kong isipin ngayon na lumabas ang katotohanan na baka he's obsessed with me.

He's breathing hard than usual, damn, he is really sick. I'm here to help him as a friend kahit na marami akong tanong tungkol sa kwarto niya.

This can't be happening right now, this is unreal.

"I love you so much... I-I'll... do everything for you, please..." he said, sound as if he's begging this time.

Okay na. Alam ko na. Gets ko na. Naiintindihan ko na mahal niya talaga ako, at alam ko na rin na matagal niya na 'kong mahal.

"Alexander... I will love you back if you lie down, please?" sabi ko sa kanya at dahan-dahan kong inialis yung braso niya sa katawan ko.

Tumalikod ako at tinulungan siya na humiga sa kama. Kita sa mukha ni Alexander na 'di lang siya may sakit pero pagod din siya, he looks like a mess.

He can barely open his eyes and yet he still tried to open his eyes so he could take a look at me.

Umupo ako sa tabi niya at pinunasan ang noo niya gamit yung tuwalya sa drawer malapit sa kama niya.
