"Well let's start with the fact that your husband was once a twin." Ayana has to be joking.

"One of Dario Romano is a-lot, but two? The world would have been in flames I'm sure of it." Kiana said shaking her head.

"I'm telling you the truth you know I have no reason to ever lie to you. Mario Romano that was his name. I never met him but from what Marcel told me they weren't identical but looked alike enough to be brothers."

"If you never met him does that mean he died before you met Marcel?" Kiana asked her and she nodded. This is crazy.

"The twins were thirteen and already being trained to be men. You know how the mafia works, they train their sons to be ruthless. If you think Dario is bad, Mario was worse according to Marcel and that's as a boy. I can't imagine what he would've grown up to be-

"Lucifer himself by the sound of it." Kiana said.

"And I thought that was Dario." I mumbled to myself.

"The twins were inseparable literally. They did everything together including cause terror. Menaces to society. When they were thirteen they went on a family vacation to one of their townhouses. It was just the family, a few guards and two maids in the house when they were infiltrated by the Moretti family in the middle of the night."

"I'm sorry the who?"

"The Moretti family, they were the real deal at the time. They were the most powerful mafia with the Romano closely behind, followed by the De Lucas. Some of their men breached the property, silently killing the guards in the front and making their way into the house. Gunfire was exchanged and the Romanos successfully killed them off. At the time they were unaware that the twins had been taken. During all the commotion one of the maids with the aid of a Moretti managed to capture the twins and escape. That started a war between the two families and lead the Romanos to form a temporary alliance with the De Lucas to take down a common enemy. About a week later they found the hideout the Moretti's were keeping the twins at and attacked alongside the De Lucas. Unfortunately Dario was the only one they managed to save. They held the twins in separate rooms but while they successfully rescued Dario and got him out of there in time. Some men were in pursuit of retrieving Mario when a sudden explosion caused the place to go up in flames. I heard that although the house was engulfed in flames, the late Romano sent his men in hopes to get his son. They went in but none managed to get out. All they could've done was watch the place burn with Mario still inside. Dario was badly beaten by the Morrettis but he closed off after all that. Their mom was so distraught she wanted no reminder of the son she lost so they had all his information taken down, it's like he never existed now. Meanwhile the brothers were forced into tougher training, and all the maids were killed for the simple fact that they could not be trusted. The actions of one caused the death of all. If you asked me that was a bit overboard. The De Lucas helped the Romanos take down the Moretti family but unfortunately turned on them afterwards. The De Luca in charge at the time was Milana's grandfather who was later killed by Marcel himself. Years down the line the fued continued until a new alliance came about..

"Where Milana was supposed to marry Dario." I said connecting the dots.

"She was actually promised to the next Romano leader which should have been Rafael but you know how that went."

"I can't believe Dario was a twin." This was alot to take in. I will admit that Dario has been through alot. That's something a child should not have to ever experience. Although it explains his behavior to a certain extent, it still doesn't excuse him especially for the way he treated me in the past. I understand that Mario Romano is like—well is a ghost so I get why people don't speak on him. However if I'm his wife at least a mention of his existence would have been expected so I could understand all this history.
