Athanese's Pov

As I kept a steady mana flow to somehow scare of this so called uncle of mine. Rather than being scared and intimidated ,he looks at me in amusement and somehow impressed

I spoke trying to warn this bitch to stay away from my sister

Athanasia and Felix were still tense and cautious as they looked at Anastacius then at me

" If my nephew says so then I shall take my leave for now ."

Anastacius or rather Aeternitas spoke with a mocking smirk on his face. Suddenly he flicked his finger and I could feel the black magic that I kept under control was suddenly going haywire

I thought as I tried my best not to groan from the pain. He then took one last look at me and left. As soon as he left , I could hear Athanasia fall down on her knees.

I should take care of Athanasia right now but I am seemingly not on the condition to do so . All the sounds were blocked off. I couldn't hear them at all .

Before I could say anything , I could feel blood rise up on my mouth. Not having any choice, I tried to brush it off and tried to walk away but before I could take one step . My knees could no longer support me and I fell down on my knees

I felt my blood spew down from my mouth as I tried to keep my breathing stable. My mana was fine just a few minutes ago... It must have been him

My throat was aching and burning. My whole body is in pain .I thought as my body finally gave up and I laid down on the floor unconscious

Third person pov

*Thud*

Anastacius has just left the room. Athanasia was trembling and suddenly fell down on her knees.Felix quickly came to her aid and gently patted her back to calm her.

' Did I do the right thing ?! What should I do now !?

Athanese ! I should check on him first '

She thought as she quickly turned her attention towards Athanese who was standing oddly.

' He looks like he is in pain '

Athanasia thought as she tried to stand up. Before she could stand up , Athanese fell down on his knees and vomited blood. Blood was dripping down from his mouth as he struggled breathing. He was desperately gasping for air .

" ATHANESE !! "

She yelled worriedly as she quickly ran towards him and patted his back but Athanese had already lost his consciousness.

" Your Highness !! "

Felix said as he quickly carried Athanese and made his way towards the Emperor's room . Athanasia was also worriedly following behind Felix.

' Damn it ! I depended on him too much again .. why am I like this ?! Because of me Athanese is hurt ! If I controlled the situation properly maybe Athanese would have been unhurt! '

Athanasia thought as she gritted her teeth annoyed at herself and tremendously worried about her brother
