KELLY RUSHED IN the hospital after hearing the news. Halos sigawan niya ang media na gusto pa siyang makapanayaw kahit na naisapubliko naman na ang nangyari sa magulang niya.
"K-Kuya, where's Mommy? Si Daddy?" Agad siyang yumakap sa kapatid nang marating waiting area sa labas ng emergency room.
His brother immediately went home together with his wife and the kids. Mas lalo siyang napaluha nang makita ang mga pamangkin na umiiyak at inaalo ni Eli.
"A-Are they safe, Kuya?" Her brother just caressed her back, assuring her. But it wasn't enough. She need to hear from someone that her parents will be safe!
"It's alright.. " he only whispered.
Agad nanlumo si Kelly. Hindi pa niya alam ang buong kwento. She was too occupied of her parent's condition that her mind isn't functioning.
"Ako na dito, Kuya. Go to Lexi, " pagtataboy niya sa kapatid. Habang umiiyak ay inatake ng asthma si Lexi. Lexi's a very delicate kid. Kelly sighed as she recalls what happened to Lexi earlier.
Nang umalis ang kapatid niya ay mataman lang siya naghintay sa doctor. Napaisip tuloy siya mga nangyari. Alam niyang maraming panganib sa linya ng negosyo. Is it a threat from one of the competitors? Pero kung ganoon.. bakit sila Mommy? They are no longer handling the company as his brother fully take it over. Hindi naman sa gusto niyang mangyari iyon sa kapatid.. napapaisip lang siya.
Maybe because they can't go near my brother as he's always private with his life?
Pero may isa pang posibleng dahilang bumubuo sa isip niya. Umiling siya at nagsikap na huminga ng maayos.
Caleb didn't call her nor text her. He doesn't know? Or is he too.. busy?
Kelly sighed. There's no time to question her whims.
A loud relief escape her mouth when the doctor announced that both of her parents passed the worst scenario. Inilipat sa private room ang magulang niya. Both in tubes and machines. She felt bad seeing her parents in that situation.
"Coffee?" Napaangat ang tingin niya kay Lily. Umiling siya.
"I don't drink random brand of coffee. "
Lily groaned. "Fine! But I bought this croissants. Don't worry, I bought it from an expensive French bakery. And that was baked by a former executive chef in one of the largest cruises. "
Ngumuso siya at tumango. Hindi nga siya mahilig sa bread pero okay. Kinagatan niya iyon ng isang beses at napangiwi. Ang pangit.
"It's bitter!" reklamo niya.
Nanlaki ang mata ni Lily. "Really? I thought it was good, tho. "
"Tss. If you brought me a salad bowl, I'll be more happy. "
Sumimangot ito. "You're bitter kasi that's why it's mapait. " Lily roller her eyes. "I'm going now. I have a busy life, " sabi nito at umalis nga.
Umuwi rin siya ng bahay nang bumalik na ang kapatid niya. She needs to change atleast. And she's damn hungry. Bakit ba kasi walang organic juice sa cafeteria ng hospital?!
Binuksan niya ang phone at tiningnan kung nagtext na ba si Caleb pero hindi parin! Napanguso siya. He's busy, huh?

Hey. Seems like you're busy, huh? Well, you left many paperworks so I understand.
Ako:
Did you see the news about mom and dad? They're fine now so I'm relieved. Can you visit me? Or let's meet?
