They were still sailing to the island that was mapped in Eric's log book.

Drake:Hmm?

Mash:Something the matter?

Drake:Yeah, the air tastes different here.

Astolfo sticks out her tongue to see if she could taste it too.

Mash:Tastes...different?

Y/N:Astolfo, I think it's only a skill she has.

Astolfo:You don't know that.

Drake:In different countries and lands, the air changes flavor. The distance between England and France aside, when you travel to a new continent, the air really tastes differently.

Astolfo:I think I taste what she means.

Y/N:Astolfo, where's your common sense?

Astolfo:Non-existent.

Y/N:That explains a lot actually.

Gudako:It really does. Especially how she acts sometimes.

Roman:You mean how she didn't realize she walked into the simulation room and thought Chaldea was being invaded by crab people?

Astolfo:There really were crab people invading Chaldea!

Gudako:Y/N turned off the simulation and helped calm you down.

Y/N:Which nearly gained me a lost head.

Astolfo giggles at what they said. A pirate walks over to them.

Pirate 1:Boss! There's a ship to the northwest!

Drake:All right, what flag?

Pirate 1:A pirate's flag I've never seen!

Drake:So, an enemy! You four best get ready! It's time to get to work!

Mash:Aye, aye, Captain Drake! Here we go, Master!

Y/N:You know, I just realized it's warmer now.

Gudako:Huh, how about that?

Astolfo:I knew it!

The enemy pirate ship sails next to them, and the enemy pirates board their ship. Drake shoots two of them, making them fall off her ship. Y/N kicks a few off and stabs two in their necks. Mash bashes a few as the Golden Hind crew fires the cannons at the ship. Astolfo was clumsily, yet skilfully, taking care of enemy pirates. Not like they required great amount of work to defeat. The battle ended after the enemy ship started to sink.

Drake:All right, this side's taken care of.

Mash:This side as well. They were below average in combat power.

Pirate 2:Boss, here's their Jolly Roger.

Gudako:Why did they call the flag a Jolly Roger?

Y/N:It's a traditional English name for the flags flown to identify a pirate ship about to attack. Some pirate's ships had different flags then the commonly known skull and crossbones.

Gudako:Oh.

Drake:Hmm, it doesn't look familiar. Mash, do you have any ideas?

Mash:If it's a famous flag, it might be in our records. Doctor, can you look into this?

Roman:Okay. You'll have the results right away.

Drake:All right, then I'm advancing this ship. If this chart is right, the island should be in sight soon!

Pirate 3:Land, ho!

Drake:Speak of the devil.

Y/N:It looks bigger than the other two islands we've been on.
