Histerikal na ako dahil sa pinipilit ni Daddy na makipagdate ako sa lalaking pakakasalan ko raw.
"Ni hindi ko nga alam na nag-eexist pala siya!"
Hinilot ko ang sintindo ko.
Ang galing lang niya na iblind date ako sa kung sino-sino.
"Hija, Wardell is a great guy. Just give him a chance. You will fall for him-"
"Shut up, Dad! Do you even hear yourself? Binebenta mo 'ko! I'm not a property, just so you know!"
"Jade, calm down," saway ni Kuya Sage.
"How can I fucking calm down, Kuya?"
"Watch your words, young lady!" saway ni Daddy.
"Ah! The two of you is so frustrating as hell!"
Palabas na ako ng pinto nang magsalita ulit si Daddy.
"Wardell is the perfect one for you."
Fuck that Wardell! Whoever he is, I'm not gonna marry him!
Nakakaloka si Daddy! Nakaratay na siya sa kama dahil sa sakit niya ay nagawa niya pang magset ng blind date para sa'kin.
"Jade, can you please bring Dad's medicine."
Matalim kong tinignan si Kuya Sage.
"Nang-aasar ka? I don't even want to see him!"
He client his jaw.
"Stop acting like a brat, Jadiana! Your father is sick and yet you don't wanna see him?"
Wala akong nagawa kung hindi sundin ang gusto niya. I admit, I'm more afraid of him than of my father. Paano nakakatakot naman talaga si Kuya Sage kapag galit, such a monster!
Nang matanaw ako ni Daddy ay sumilay agad ang ngiti sa labi niya.
"You are so beautiful, my princess. You are a woman now."
I knew it! That's why I don't wanna see him. Alam ko na ang kasunod niyan.
"Wardell is a great guy. Come on, honey, give him a chance. I setup a date for the two of you-"
"Dad, I'm not interested with him. Whoever he is, he can date and marry himself," iritadong sabi ko.
"He will wait for you on Friday at The Little Door, 7pm."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever!"
Maghintay siya hanggang sa pumuti ang uwak.
Naririndi na ako sa pangungulit ni Daddy. He's really persistent to setup a date for me.
"Do you even know the word knock?" iritadong tanong ni Kuya Sage nang bigla na lang ako pumasok sa opisina niya.
"Kuya, I badly need some time to relax."
Nag-angat ng kilay si Kuya.
"You wanna escape from what Dad's want?"
"No. I'm just exhausted-"
"I don't agree with Dad's plan also. You can take your vacation."
Napatili naman ako sa tuwa dahil sa sinabi ni Kuya Sage. Akala ko ay mahihirapan pa ako sa pagkumbinsi sa kanya.
"You the best, Kuya!"
He just rolled his eyes.
Nang makauwi ako ay agad akong nagsearch ng flight papunta sa Japan pero nagbago iyon nang biglang magface time sa'kin si Tria. I told her about my travel plans and guess what? She convinced me to go to Madrid instead. I mean why not, her idea sound so fun.
