Thanks to mother, I arrived at school earlier than usual. The hallway was almost empty and only few students were found in the school building.

Jokpa and Jomafu walked by my sides protectively, as if I was soon to get attacked by a villain.

"Remember, if he tries to harm you in anyway, call those your friends if we're not close, but if you can, rush to call us. Okay?" Jokpa said.

"Okay." I replied.

Few minutes later, Jokpa and Jomafu left me as they headed to their classes, and I say classes because Jomafu is a science student while Jokpa is a commercial student.

I got to my classroom door and opened the door knob. I expected the classroom to be empty when I walked in but to my suprise I saw a boy sleeping on his desk.

I wondered if he was in my class because I had never seen him before. Out of curiosity, I hung my bag quietly on the handle of my chair and tiptoed to the middle row where he was.

When I was close enough, I bent my head and couldn't help but stare at the guy asleep.

He was light chocolate in complexion, had a really cute small nose and perfectly arched brows. Of course, I couldn't help but notice he had a pink heavy lower type of lip and a sharp jawline.

I knew it! I just did!

God had chosen a particular day  to create such a fine looking creature.

Slowly but eventually, his eye lids fluttered open, displaying a pair of light brown eyes. I couldn't help but be mesmerized by it and got lost in thoughts.

"Are you dumb or something, because last time I checked, I'm human and not a TV." A deep voice said, breaking me out of my reverie.

I cleared my throat nervously. "I'm sorry. You, uum.... I'm new." I said, stretching my hand out for a handshake.

He sat up straight and stared at me for a while, then, lazily moved his gaze down to my hand, still leaving my hand hanging.

"Guess what? I don't care." He said, making my mouth open slightly and my cheeks get hot in embarrassment.

This was someone I considered cute few seconds ago. Gosh! He was rude!

"Stop standing there and quietly go back to where you came from." He said again in a bored tone.

I turned around swiftly and walked out of the class.

Who the hell was that boy?!

I walked quietly in the hallway, I didn't know where I headed to but I definitely wasn't going back to that classroom... At least not until my friends show up.

Finally, I decided to just chill in the library, but by the time I got there, the library was locked.

I groaned loudly and headed back to class.

                                  •°•°•
Time flew so quickly, and before I knew it, it was break time already.

I didn't know why, but finding the light brown eyed boy seemed to be impossible. He looked like he could be in SS1, but perhaps he wasn't in SS1 B.

By the time we got to the cafeteria, I couldn't help but notice one thing.

"Do you guys know why Sharon and... Evan didn't come to school today?" I asked.

Sara raised a brow. "Why do you care all of a sudden?".

"I don't!" I said immediately. "I'm just curious.".

She nodded slowly. "I don't know.".

"Me neither." Nnadzwa shrugged.

We ate in silence for some moments. Though it definitely wasn't awkward, why would it be.

I decided to start up a conversation.

"Hey, Nnadzwa––"

"Shut up!" I looked up angrily to glare at the person who cut me off in such a rude manner.

"Do I know you?" I asked in a rude tone.

She gave me a scrutinizing gaze and popped the bubble gum in her mouth.

"I'm Nora, a friend of a Sharon. And definitely not a friend of you, I mean, how could I be with your disgusting friends and your ugly body shape. You are––"

"Excuse me." I said, raising a hand and halting it in front of her. "Why did you come here, if you came here to insult then, you better just leave.".

She let her eyes rake my body in disgust.

"Ah ah, Nora what is your problem. You just like to cause trouble right?". Nnadzwa said.

Nora looked at her and hissed.

"I heard your name's Ejiro. You should just know yourself and know your place. Sharon isn't one to mess with and she's right, this school is her territory and you had no right to insult her whatsoever. Just know that any time you talk back at her or any of us, you're a classified mumu."

I laughed hysterically, much to her dismay. "Since when did Mumus have classifications."

"Nora or whatever your name is, let me break it down to you. You think you have sense yet you go around following someone else about and walking in her shadows. She deceives you by calling you her best friend all the time yet all you do is kneel and wash her feet everyday. You think I don't see you carry her books to class, or when she throws books and items at you and constantly yell at you while you quiver I fear. That's what I call moronic stupidity!". I said.

I could see her face turn red in anger and she obviously tried really hard to look unfazed by what I had just said. I could see a mix of emotions swirling up in her eyes and a tear threatening to roll down her cheeks.

She turned away immediately and stormed angrily out of the cafeteria, with a girl tagging along beside her.

"Don't you think you were too mean?"  Sara asked.

"Nope. I was just stating the obvious." I shrugged, taking a sip of my drink.

"Yeah, Nora got what she deserved abeg. Her own is too much." Nnadzwa hissed.

I had honestly never witnessed any of the things I said, but I figured there was a huge possibility of that happening since mean girls in high school are very common these day. And what's a mean girl without her minions?

I didn't mean to hurt her though, it was obvious my words hit her where it hurts, but like I said, If you want trouble I'll give you trouble.

The cafeteria fell silent for a while and then whispers and murmurings could be heard. It seemed seeing Nora leave our table and storm out of the cafeteria might have caught their attention.

I had no idea what their problem was with me but most of them gave me wierd glances I couldn't understand. It was both uncomfortable and annoying.

Why would they support the mean girl?!

I ate my food in a hurry and stood up to walk out of the cafeteria as I felt uncomfortable due to the intense glares.

I walked quickly towards the door while Nnadzwa and Sara scurried behind me, probably understanding why I decided to leave before break over because they didn't ask.

Though, I tried as much as possible to avoid the many stares, my eyes locked with a pair of light brown ones who already had his eyes at him. He didn't seem angry, he just stared at me lazily and it seemed he wasn't going to look away.

My heart! Dude don't steal it please.
