Chapter 16

"Kate" I hear
"Kate" it gets louder
"Kate!" Nina says
"You need to stop doing that"

"I'm sorry. I was just thinking of what I'm going to wear for the Halloween party" I reply smiling

It hurts when I lie to her. But i don't want her to worry about me.
Its been almost three months and I can't wait till Sebastian gets back.

"What do you want me to choose?"
I sit upright
"I'd like you to be a princess " she replies radiantly

"But you're the only princess here"
Nina, she's beautiful like her name.
Her brown locks are amazing. Her eyes are green and her smile is oh so perfect. Being ten is not hard on her. She's my little sister and I love her to death. Her personality is amazing and she's always happy.

"You're the one who looks like a princess. I want to be like you Kate. When I'm all grown up" she says

"You'll be better than me Nina I promise that. Let's agree we're both princesses and mom is our queen. Our house is our castle and Perceurs and Mist are our dragons"
I reply
Perceurs is Nina's cat and she loves herself to much. Mist is my dog and I love him too much.

"What did I do?" Mother enters the kitchen
"I heard you two gossiping" she continues grabbing her coffee mug.
"You're our queen mom" Nina says
"Oh yes I am. I'll be an angry one if you don't get to school early" mother replies gnawing her teeth
Nina laughs and gets out of the kitchen.
"I want to see that boy of yours. The one who left you miserable for almost three months"
I finish my tea.
"You look better Kate at least you've gotten back your figure. You used to look like a mosquito" she laughs

"Mom!" I laugh throwing
a cake crumb at her.
"You'll see him soon" I continue
She takes a sip of her coffee
"I'll hit that bastard where it hurts. Making my daughter suffer for nothing" her voice changes

"No need. I bet he's dying the same way I am" I say
"He's a wonderful man. You'll like him"
She sighs
I stand up and hug her
"I love you mom"

"You're happy this month. I like you better like this" Nina says as we enter the car.
"Yeah. Me too little princess" I reply and drive out of the huge compound

After I drop her I head straight to campus. I'm left with a month until I finish my campus life. The day goes fast and soon school is over.
Becky and Ryan are at my car. As always gossiping.
"How's Mrs Alaric? "
Becky asks 
"I'm good. Two more weeks and Sebastian will be back" I laugh
"There's our old Kate" Ryan says and tugs me to him.
"She's definitely here to stay. Why did you two leave so early this morning?" I ask
"We had an examination today. Remember?" Becky says

"One more month bitches" she continues
Ryan and I howl in agreement. Becky joining us in seconds
"Now let's go get our Halloween costumes" Ryan says
We all enter my car. A Mercedes class G55 my mom bought me to try to cheer me up.
I use it so as to let her know I'm grateful but my mustang will always be my baby.

The mall Is spookily decorated with jack o lanterns, ghosts, vampires and many more mystical creatures.
"What do you guys want to be?" I ask
"I'll be a werewolf" Ryan says
"I want to be a vampire Catwoman" Becky replies after
"Im going to be a princess" I say
"Nina made me promise her I'd be one"
They smile at me and both of them stop "Awwww" they say
I smile

"What's Kevin going to be?" I ask Ryan.
Kevin is Ryan's boyfriend. They've been dating since the first semester
"He'll be a werewolf hunter" he replies happily
We reach the store

"What's he going to hunt? Your werewolf junk?" I wink at him and he shoves me slightly. Becky and I laugh.
He's practically pink cause of blushing.
"There's you catsuit Becky" everyone's attention goes to it.
Its oh so slutty. Becky's taste.
"Now all we need are fangs" Ryan says touching the smooth leather.
"You'll look sexy in this" He continues

"Yeah Becky, Cruz and the rest of the boys will be drooling over you" I say
"What's Cruz going to be?"
"He'll be a knight" she replies smiling uncontrollably
I miss the days Sebastian used to make me feel the way these two feel.
