Chapter 17

"Let's go look for mine now. We split up. Take more cover. Now go on shoo shoo" Ryan announces

I take the north wing and look for a were wolf suit.
"I found it" I say as I head towards them
They smile at me uncontrollably, Becky hiding something behind her
"What's behind you?" I ask
"Something beautiful for a beautiful girl" Ryan says and Becky removes a gorgeous dress behind her.
It was blood red. Decorated with diamonds on the hemline. The sleeves were long and the shoulder pads fitted a perfect medievel princess dress.
It's beautiful

Images flash in my head and I lose balance.
Im in a big room filled with candles. People clapping to the rhythm as I dance to a sweet melody

I look down I'm holding my dress so as to prevent the dress From touching the floor
"Kate!"
I look up. Its Sebastian.
I stop dancing. He looks handsome than ever. "May I have this dance my lady?" I can feel my heart in my mouth. His accent sounds different, rich, like the English

"if my father catches us in the act. Your head will be on a stake before the birds sing the birth of dawn" i say my accent resembling his.

"Then if we must, may my head face the direction of my lover's heart" he kisses my hand. His eyes were golden glistening in the light from the candles. "Alaricus! Save us from the wrath of Seleucus and leave the princess be!" Cruz shouts from the other side of the room. "Seal your mouth brother. Or i shall"

"KATE!!" 

I snap back to reality. I'm on the floor Becky and Ryan holding me tightly.
"What happened?" I ask holding my head
"You started acting all possessed" Becky says
"Yeah your eyes rolled behind your head and you started saying some crazy language and fell on the ground" Ryan continues
They pull me up
"That's enough for today let's go home. They'll bring our costumes tomorrow" Becky says
"I'll drive this time" Ryan replies in agreement

They hold me each on my side. With worry in their eyes
We head to my car

What the hell just happened?

The trip to the house is fast. Dancing to EDM makes us forget our earlier encounter. We all laugh when the song ends.

"I missed this" Ryan says "The good old days" Becky says
"Remember when Kate tried to swing from the chandelier in Glow club"
She continues
We all laugh
"I was drunk and the crystals looked like they needed my help" I say
"To almost break your neck?" Ryan asks.
"You stayed a week in your hospital bed"
We laugh louder

"Remember when we dared Ryan to go swim in Mr Blofsy's pool naked"
I say
"I almost died that day" Ryan replies
"Correction. WE all almost died that day" Becky announces.
"Kate and I jumped after you to save you but we were all too drunk and our bodies failed us" she continues

"If it wasn't for Mr Blofsy and his wife we would have died" I laugh
"But we would die drunk, stupid and happy"
We all nod in agreement.
The car halts and we reach home.
We decided to rent out our old house and come live with my mother. Her house seemed too big and the extra cash from selling the old house could not be refused.

Our Chef, Leonardo, cooked a heavenly meal as always. He is hot, sexy in fact. But my heart belongs to Sebastian.

"Katerina wants to eat today?"  He says and Nina turns
"Just one bite" I reply as Nina comes to hug me and my two best friends.
We sit at the Kitchen's marble table and enjoy our meal.
"Tell me why you haven't fucked him yet" Ryan whispers
"Because she's in love with Sebastian" Becky replies
I smile

"How was school Nina?" I ask
"It was swell, but Trevor keeps on disturbing me"
Trevor, Nate's small brother. He's cute and funny. Almost like his brother. Has the looks too.
He has a crush on Nina but she seems to preoccupied to notice.

"Why don't you disturb him back" Becky says
"Yeah maybe smile at him every once in a while" Ryan adds

"I'll try that" Nina agrees and clears her plate
"Time to sleep buddy" I run to her and carry her forcing her to squeal.

When I come back from putting her to bed, I see the three of them watching TV .
I never noticed the happiness in this house. Since i was too busy mourning for my lover I knew for less than three months.

"why so down?" leo says in a deep voice i almost confused him with Sebastian. "nothing" i lie

He begins massaging my shoulders and i feel less tense. He takes my hand leading me upstairs to the top most floor. We reach the roof and i curse my body for failing to be fit.

"The sky helps me clear my head" he says sitting on the floor. The air was thin, cold and fresh. I sit down next to Leo and lie on my back. The sky was jest black with numerous stars. It was a bewitching sight. The moon was white as snow, glowing radiantly as it sent it's gorgeous rays all the way to my skin.

For the first time my head and heart forgot about the man named Sebastian.
