Cigarette

As I stare at another soul smoking,
I wonder why?
Why inhale something that doesn't taste nice?
Why breathe it in so elegantly?
As it swarms your taste buds do you feel relief?
Is it a call for help?
Maybe a way to get away from it all?

But just like the smoke, who cares because at the end of the day we all just fade away that quickly....
