The sun is out and it feels like the hottest day this year,
I am stuck with the constant thought of how rubbing it in never suited you,
Lying isn't right for you,
You aren't the same person that I thought you were,
Time goes by and you won't find the same me anymore too,
I guess there's a reason for everything and maybe checking up was a sign for me to move on and stop thinking about others for once in my life,
Because all I keep feeling is hurt and my mind altering our memories of what we had before,
I too now don't have a response,
But being a laugh is not what I wanted to be,
I just wanted to know if you were okay,
Not anything more not anything less.
