My mistake

Putting you first was my mistake,
Because I thought you done the same,
I've only now came to the realisation,
I expected more because I was going above and beyond,
When I am always hurt a hundred times and even more,
Oh god forgive me,
I can't seem to see the value of me,
My heart aches,
Even worse today,
I hope I don't stay this way,
Because enough is already on my plate.
