It's been a long time coming,
I can finally see the person I am,
And how unique I am,
I like this feeling of knowing my worth without the self-judgement,
It's taken me a long time to finally look at myself and say well done you've done it,
But one day at a time is much better than comparing yourself for longer periods.
I have grown to accept that I am a nice person and sometimes people do take advantage of that,
After so many years of letting it be, I have been more open and shut people down for just simply showing me a different side to them.
That's when you know you've matured,
Because you're not bothered by drama and other people's mind games,
Life isn't a game,
Life is to be embraced,
So sorry if I'm not the same but it must just be because of the way you made me feel and I'm not someone you should have treated that way.
