-Melissa's POV-

It's already four months and my stomach has gone really big which makes me embarrassed to go for prom tomorrow. Throughout these four months, the relationship between me and Chris are getting closer as if we're married but still, we're not. Chris has been more caring and tried to build up his father material skills. Everytime if dropped a glass or bad things happened, he always shout for my name. And I, everytime, will scold him as if I'm his mother. But everything is perfect for the time being.

"Melissa! Can you come to the home office now?" Chris shouted from downstairs. I, at the third floor, could hear him loud and clear. I sighed and walked down slowly towards the home office. What does he want now?

"What is the problem now?" I said walking into Chris' home office. He looked at me with a panicked look. I raised an eyebrow and folded my arms over my chest.

"I dropped my coffee. So now... Uhh, the carpet had a stain." He stuttered. He then shyly smile at me, trying to act innocent. I growled in frustration and walked towards the stain. I pushed his office chair aside and rolled the carpet before picking it up.

"Sorry, baby." He apologised as I walked out of the office. I rolled my eyes and replied,

"You always said that. When you caused trouble next time, you do it on your own. I have no more energy to do this shit."

He just nodded and returned to his desk, typing on his keyboard. I walked towards the laundry room with me, carrying a heavy carpet. I quickly dumped it on the floor and make a loud noise which leaves an echo around the house. I took a deep breath and bend down to unroll the carpet. These days, I cannot do my work as fast as possible. Every ten minutes, I will feel tired and always needed a rest.

I took a seat and started scrubbing off the stains before drying it outside the penthouse. I started to get bored. I took out my phone from the side pocket of the dress. I started dialling Olivia, asking her how's her day since its been so long since we met which is four months ago.

"Hey, gonna be mother." Olivia greeted me. I laughed and greeted her back.

"Hi, gonna be prom queen." I teased back. I could sense her that she's annoyed. I could imagine that she's rolling her eyes and make some funny faces to show the hatred.

"You know that you're gonna be the prom queen tomorrow."

"No. My stomach is big. People are gossiping about me. Even they talked about my relationship with James." I denied.

"You'll never know. Besides, I think that they stopped talking about your relationship." Obviously, it's not true.

"Liv, they will keep talking about it until I admitted it. I bet everyone heard our argument right after our English exam. So our lovely schoolmates will not stop shutting their mouth up."

There's a silence at the other end. I then heard her groaned. "Yeah, you're right. Who do you think will win the prom queen?"

"That barbie bitch." I straightaway answered the question without hesitation.

"Ouch. That's harsh, Melissa."

"So? You're used to it."

"But the way you say it. It's much more harsher than usual." She admitted. Really? Am I that harsh?

"Whatevs. Anyways, can you come by my penthouse? Before that, go to James' apartment to take my prom dress. Just take it and leave." I demanded her. She just said a simple okay. I greeted her goodbye and hung up. I put my phone back into the pocket and continue scrubbing.
