*Chris' POV*

I sat on my office chair and start signing the documents for my upcoming jobs with the other billionaires in the world. But not as rich as me, I thought. I smirked to my own compliment. Suddenly, there's a knock on my door.

"Come in." I demanded. The door opened wide. I was greeted by my secretary which is also my girlfriend, Natalie. We've been together for a month or more. She walked towards me and sit on my lap. I rubbed her back and asked her, "What brings you here? Something wrong, baby?" She just shook her head and leaned closer to me. I knew her well. Whenever she leaned closer, it means that she wants a kiss. A long one. As I was about to kiss her, my phone rang.

I growled. I could also see Natalie's face turned from ecstatic to anger. "What a good time to ruin our moment.." She spoke through her teeth. Man, she is really angry. I wonder why. She got off from my lap and went to get a drink from the soda machine I have at the corner of my office. I then answered my phone.

"Mr. Cortes, how may I-" I was cut short by a screaming psycho on the other line.

"YOU ARE LATE. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? I'VE BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL LIKE HALF AN HOUR AGO." Yup, Melissa just make me so close to being a deaf person. Thanks for that, Mel.

I looked at my watch and sighed. It's 12:45pm and I'm late to meet Melissa for the DNA Test. I almost forgot about it. I then reply her, "I'll be there in 15 minutes." I hung up and grabbed my blazer from my office chair. As I was about to leave, I could feel someone grabbed my arm. Of course, it's Natalie. She asked me where am I going. I hate to do this but I have to lie to her. I told her that I'm meeting my parents to settle a family matter. She just nodded and step aside to let me leave. I kissed her forehead and went inside the elevator to the basement, where cars are parked.

I rushed to my car as I don't want to get a nag again from Melissa. I unlocked it and got in. I started the engine and raced to the hospital at almost 145km/h. Yup, my brand new Lamborghini is pretty fast.

-Melissa's POV-

I paced back and forth in front of the registration counter full of anger. How can he be late?! He said that he will be here in 15 minutes but he is late... Again! Giving up on waiting for Chris to arrive, I start to register. As I was nearly done with the registration, I heard someone call my name. "Making a registration without me?" Chris asked me as if nothing happened. I ignored him and walked to the room that the doctor signed us in. I sat down at a nearby chair in front of the room. Chris sat beside me and tumbled his thumbs. He then starts to speak up.

"Look, I'm sorry that I'm late. I just have a lot of paperwork to do and documents to sign. I hope you understand that."

I just reply him with a simple 'K' and took a magazine to read. I heard him sigh and pressed his forehead with his fingers to release the headache. After a few minutes of waiting, a nurse called us from her counter and guided us to the doctor's office. We thanked her and continue our DNA tests with the doctor. The funny thing is that the doctor separates me and Chris to a different room. I don't really care as I just wanted to prove Chris that the baby I'm carrying is his.

Again, the doctor asked us to wait outside so that he matched the DNA between the two of us. And the silence between Chris and I continues.

A few minutes later, the same doctor called us and give us an A4 size envelope. He said that inside the envelope is the result whether this baby is his or not. By the time he say "result", I quickly open the envelope and read the letter. After I read the letter, I stood there in silence and turned to face Chris. Chris then gave me a concern look.

"It's yours." I muttered the words quietly but surprisingly, he heard what I said. He snatched the letter from me and glanced through the letter. He then also have a shocked look.
