Chapter 18

I heard a knock but I didn't bother to entertain it. I'm working my ass for about weeks now! And I don't tolerate disturbing individual at the moment! Hanggang ngayon kasi ay wala pa akong lead kung sino ang nasa likod ng pagkawala nung mga files.

Sa loob ng ilang linggong paghahanap ay wala akong nakita. I even personally lend a friendly visit some headquarters of the tráile nearby but to no avail, I found nothing!

Desperate person did desperate things! I'm desperately desperate to get the papers back to my keeping, so together with my men's, we forcedly attack the main HQ of the tráile. We're being outnumbered but my men's aren't just some sort of a gadabout, they're all came from different nationalities with high professional background, so I'm confident!

Beside there were snipers around!

But just like the other branch we ransacked, I found nothing!

So there where I came up with the thought of aside from the tráile, their are this individual who's hiding behind the curtain!

They might be the intruder, but the question is, who are they!?  Are they the one who's responsible of this? What's their motive to go against us?

One thing is for sure, they're doing this to be on top!

Napatigil ako nung tuloyan ng bumukas ang pinto.

"Malalim iniisip natin ah!? Baka pwedeng umahon ka muna?" Bungad na saad ni B.

I don't need to look for her face to confirm that it was her. Sa nakakairta pa lang niyang boses ay sigurado na ako!

"Yow! Wazzup Z," sunod kong narinig.

Napapabuntong hiningang nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanila. "What!? Anong ginagawa niyo dito!?" Iritado kong tanong.

Hindi nila ako pinansin at deretso lang silang nagtungo sa couch. Prenting nagsi-upo ang mga tarantado!

"Ganyan ba ang pag welcome sa bisita itlog?" It was B who answered. "Hindi ka ba namin pwedeng dalawin dito? Moral support man lang." She sarcastically added.

I look at her with flat face.

Napahinto siya ng bigla siyang sikuhin ni Caspian na nasa gilid niya. "Stop, will you?" Mahina niyang suway kay B.

Agad naman itong tumigil at nagpanggap na may tinitignan pero hindi parin nawawala ang nakakaloko ngisi sa labi.

"We came here to remind you," saad niya nung sakin naman siya bumaling.

Nagsalubong ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. "Remind of what!?"

"Sabi ko na nga ba..." Mahina nitong bulong sa sarili. "You're being too preoccupied, Z. Don't you remember that we're attending an auction!? It will be held tommorow evening!"

Napatango ako nung maalala ang sinasabi niya. Walang gana ko silang tinitigan. "Oh.. ano naman ngayon? Mas importante ba yang auction kesa sa paghahanap ko sa nawawalang files?"

"It isn't.. So, Go and get rid of them! I'm not joining, you two can deal with it! While me, I'll continue finding those files! Mas importante yun kesa sa pag-attend ng auction na yan na wala namang kasiguradohan kung makikita ba natin ang hinahanap natin!" I commanded them with my final voice.

When it comes to position, I'm way superior than them. And commanding them isn't that difficult! It's either they attend or not at all! It's up to them!

"I see," tumatango-tangong sabi ni Caspian as if expected na niya ang sinabi ko. "I expected it from you, tho I'm still hoping that you'll attend with us but turned out not. It's okey. We understand. B and I will take care of this in your behalf!" He added and I could hear the sincerity on his voice.
