Jungkook stays still on the spot. His eyes still fixated on the face infront of him
That same face he had admired, he had fallen in love with has now become unrecognisable to him.
"this is your end Jungkook" says Taehyung in that deep voice
The same voice which said that he loves him just last night is now telling him that he wants to kill him
Is this a joke? Is this a nightmare?
Jungkook couldn't comprehend
There was fire blazing around the two men but none of them seemed to be bothered by it.
One was blinded by vengeance
While the other was lost in the revelation
Taehyung had his gun pointed at Jungkook and he was all ready to shoot.
"No!!" a voice appears from behind but none of the men moves or even flinches
Namjoon runs to Taehyung and just as he was about to shoot he grips his hand and lifts it upwards making the bullet reach the top instead of Jungkook
Jungkook's eyes moves from taehyung to Namjoon, he watches as the guy who he thought was the main suspect, tries to save his life from the guy he thought loved him.
"let me go Namjoon" taehyung says through gritted teeth
"tae tae tae look at me look at me please" namjoon begs as he tries really hard to make him drop the gun. He was holding both his hands with his.
"SHUT UP!!" Yelled Taehyung
"NO!! YOU NEED TO LOOK AT ME... TAEHYUNG ITS JUNGKOOK YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL!! TAEHYUNG PLEASEEEE LISTEN!!" Begged Namjoon as tears started to roll down his cheeks
Jungkook was watching all this in bewilderment while sitting on the ground, his mouth bit ajar and face covered in sweat and tears.
" Tae its me Hyung!! Tae look around please tae please listen. Taehyung!!" he screams shaking him a little.
Finally the boy looses his strength a bit and closes his eyes. As he opens it he looks around frantically. It was all fire around him and his hyung was holding him tightly. Then his eyes lands on Jungkook who was looking at him not with love but with fear...as if he is some "monster"
Taehyung couldn't understand what was going on...
"Wh-whaa-aat is is happening how-how" he was too shocked to form a sentence
He then looks at the gun and abruptly drops it as if it is burning his skin. He looks at namjoon with tearful eyes "Hy-hyungg-gg gun" he then looks at jungkook "Jung-jungkook"
"shhh taehyung shhh.. listen to me" even before namjoon could finish his sentence he watches Taehyung's whole body swaying and his eyes rolling at the back into his head
"tae!!" namjoon yells as he drops to the ground along with Taehyung who was now lying unconscious in his brother's arm.
Namjoon slowly puts his brother on the bed. His eyes are still glistening with tears. He takes Taehyung's "black cloak" and shoes off and puts the duvet on him.
As soon as he turns around he is met with Jungkook, who had accompanied them all the way to their house He was quite throughout but now he couldn't hold it anymore So many questions were going on in his head.
Namjoon wiped his tears with his sleeves. Giving a last glance at Taehyung, who was sleeping so peacefully now, he walks out of the room.
"Namjoon stop!" Jungkook follows him.
Namjoon stops and turns around
"what just happened... Taehyung??" Jungkook asked, in a low trembling voice.
Namjoon slowly shook his head "No Jungkook it was not Taehyung you saw tonight.......it was V"
Jungkook frowned "what?"
"come with me" namjoon walked as Jungkook followed him
They were now in Namjoon's room who opened the side drawer of his bed. The exact one he never allowed Taehyung to open.
He takes out a file and gives it to Jungkook "Taehyung suffers from dissociative identity disorder"
Jungkook looks up from reading the medical file
"his body is one but two completely different personalities resides in it. One is Taehyung the one you know and the other is V...whom you knew but never met. Unfortunately today you met him"
Jungkook was completely taken aback by whatever Namjoon said. He had heard about this disorder but he never had an encounter with it.
Suddenly everything started to come back to him
Every coincidence, every connection and every clue
"in that alley that day---"
Namjoon looked at him "i went to stop V, just the way i wanted to do it today. I tried really hard to stop V just so that i can protect Taehyung. I tried to hide all the evidence, like the cloth from Jackson's house, just so that no one can reach V because if one gets to V they will get to Taehyung!! And this is why i wanted to take him far away from You! Because you were getting closer to V. But lools like fate was just not in my favor" with that he sat down on the bed and covered his face
Everything was making sense to Jungkook now except for one thing
"Why?" he asked putting the file down "why is V doing all these?"
Namjoon slowly puts his hand down His face gives a sad smile
"Do you know what causes dissociative identity disorder??" he looks up at jungkook
Who nods a bit "yeah its usually the result of past trauma"
Namjoon nods
He gets up from the bed and goes back to the drawer from where he takes out one picture and comes towards Jungkook.
"Today I am going to tell you something Jungkook which no one in Taehyung's life knows not even taehyung himself. And the only reason I am telling you this is because I know what you mean to each other and somewhere" he sighs "somewhere i really trust you... I have seen honesty in your eyes and love for tae"
Jungkook nods in assurance. He doesn't say anything but his gesture speaks highly of his love for taehyung
Namjoon looks at jungkook with teary eyes "Taehyung is not my brother jungkook"
A small gasp escapes Jungkook's mouth...
Namjoon puts the picture in front of him.. "He is.. Kim Seokjin"
