this is just the flashback but it's more detailed. I spent a while on this and I'm quite proud of it.

I was running with lucky. we were hand in hand. beads of sweat rolled down our faces. we were both exhausted. it felt like we have been running for hours. let alone we didn't get any sleep for the past few days. we couldn't take that chance.

we were surrounded. thousands of mobs trapped us. yet we still ran. we still ran through the forest. at the end of the forest we saw the cliff. the cliff that we both danced on when I ran out of that party. I couldn't help but smile a little. but I needed to start running again. we would be killed otherwise! lucky was literally dragging me.

we both stopped when we got there. the view was amazing. huge balls of gas dusted the sky. those balls of gas making small stars in the midnight blue sky. they were the only light source. and the moon. the moon was still there.

when we were distracted, a skeleton shot me right through my arm. it went all the way through. I grasped the arrow in pain and shock. lucky quickly turned their head to me for a second and then averted their eyes to the skeleton. they pulled out a sword.

it was covered in a void looking liquid. the sword was fully black as well. only a few details were made out due to the darkness and how far away I was.

while lucky was distracted, all the other mobs gathered around you. those mobs were zombies, spiders and creepers pretty far away in the distance.

you managed to stable your balance and start running. the only path you could go is towards the cliff.

it didn't matter anymore. you or lucky would get hurt otherwise. you took one steady step towards the cliff. lucky killed the skeleton in sync. they whipped their head to you. you knew they would try to scold you. so with your quick but dumb brain, you ran. you fucking ran towards the cliff.

lucky instantly ran towards you. now you were both at the edge of the cliff. nowhere to move now. you both excepted fate and fell backwards. hand in hand again.

let me tell you a little secret. it is said that we were holding hands twice. Well there needs to be a reason, right? correct! we're not some weirdos that are holding hands while running away from monsters that are trying to kill us.

anyways, the secret is because, wait. you know how lucky could hide? like inside of me? that sounds weird. but like, they are apart of me.

let's get away from that for now. the secret is because lucky has some kind of power. let's just call it that. they never told me much about it. but it did help me. while we were running, they used their regeneration power I guess. then they only used regeneration for some reason.

back to the flashback

this was our fate. the wind blew at a rapid pace on my h/l, h/c hair (if you're bold. I'm so sorry). my e/c started to loose its hope. it started to go into a dull colour. something that you can't see past. just plain. no twinkle that I always had.

the ground reached closer. I looked at lucky for the last time. our hands were barely connected. then black. we hit the floor. I heard the cracking of bones.

my eyes opened to see the darkness of the sky again. the small sprinkles of stars still littering the midnight blue sky. I expected to die. I moved my head slightly, to see our hands still touching. it was barely. not long after, I felt the regeneration fill my body.

a few minutes passed. I was fully back to health. I forced myself up from the cold, stone ground and looked at lucky. their shadow was slowly fading. the black liquid that I saw earlier was dripping from their body.

i mindlesslwalked away to get some water. lucky would need some when they wake up. and I also needed some. Once I got back, they were missing. they were gone entirely. no trace of they remained.

I pondered and walked around. I just thought of everything that I could. then Tommy and Wilbur hit me.

it wasn't supposed to happen like this. I was supposed to find Tommy and Wilbur. we were supposed to be a happy family again. I was supposed to see them and call out their names. they would look at me and the fatigue would get to me. I would fall to the ground. but I got their attention so they would run over to me. they would help me. then when I woke up, we would be a happy family again. the family that we used to be. but this time, it was just the three of us. nothing getting into our way. not this.

a cold brease hit my face. then a warm feeling inside.
'that weird. that never happened before.'
I thought. then it hit me again. where the fuck was lucky. they have been missing for  a while.

'why? why did they do that?'
I questioned myself. as the reader, you might be wondering what I'm talking about if you don't remember chapter 15. Well, lucky made a deal with the god of the afterlife and goddess of death. to sumirise the deal, it was just lucky convincing them. they were convincing them that when I die, they would take my place in limbo.

"l-lucky? where the fuck are you? this isn't funny anymore! I told you not to do it! you should listen to me more. you would be the better version of me. but no. you had to do this. After all we went through."

even though I was all healed, I was still hurt. I was in regret. dispite that lucky didn't listen. depression for lucky leaving me. and regret for dying and making them go to limbo.
