I was standing in front of the store for five minutes now waiting for Leslie. I scanned the font of the store one more time and couldt see her anywhere.

"Why can't anyone ever listen to me?" I said as I pushed my cart away from the front counter and through the store.

I walked up and down the aisle looking for her and now I was starting to get worried. Where could she be? I turned up the next aisle and saw her standing there half way down. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. She's safe, she's standing right there, nothing happened to her. Once the panic left me I realized she wasn't alone. There was a kid around our age standing about a foot away from her.

I could not hear what they were talking about but whatever it was Leslie seemed to be enjoying the conversation. She had a huge smile on her face. A smile I hadn't seen in a very long time. I looked back to the kid who was holding a shit ton of bags. He was clearly flirting with her. My blood started to boil and it took every ounce of self control not to go over there and break that peace of shits jaw.

After a few seconds Leslie stiffened as if she could sense me which made me angrier. How could my mere presence make her tense like that? She turned to look at me and the smile dropped from her face and she actually looked scared to see me standing there. He followed her line of sight and all the color left his face when he saw me standing there. I couldn't help but feel a little excitement with the fact that he was clearly scared of me. He said something to her and she responded before hurting off in my direction.

Before I even realized I was hurrying towards her, I was not letting this man get away with flirting with my girl.

I slammed my cart into hers stopping her in her tracks so she could run away from this. She needed to learn as well not to let people flirt with her. The kid that was talking to her jumped nearly out of his skin dropping all the chips he was holding in his hands.

"What the hell Billy?" She snapped at me but I wasn't focused on her.

"Who the hell are you?" I yelled at him.

"Me?" He asked as he pointed at himself.

"Yeah you dipshit! Do you see anyone else here?" I yelled at him again.

"Oh...I'm...my name is Eddie...Eddie Munson." He answered me.

"Well Eddie Muson why the fuck are you flirting with my sister?" I snapped at him.

"Billy please don't make a scene. He was just being nice." Leslie said, trying to calm me down.

"You can't be that stupid." I told her never breaking eye contact with Eddie.

"Really I was just trying to help her find a bag of chips." Eddie told me.

"No, you're trying to get into my sister's pants! Just admit it?" I yelled at him as I took a closer so we were only a few inches apart.

"Billy, leave him alone!" Leslie yelled as she tried to pull me away from him.

I easily pushed her away as i noticed the small crowd that was forming.

"Hey look I'm sorry man. I don't want any problems. I didn't mean to get in the middle of whatever this is." Eddie told me as he took a few steps back.

"Hey you guys need to pay for your stuff and leave." The lady from the front yelled at us as she stood at the end of the aisle.

"I'm so sorry. We're leaving." Leslie told the lady as she grabbed her cart.

"Billy lets go!" She yelled at me.

"Stay the fuck away from my sister!" I yelled at him as I shoved him into the shelves behind him knocking down some stuff behind him.

He didn't respond and had no intention of fighting back so I grabbed my cart and followed after Leslie.

She didn't say a single word to me as we walked up to the register, paid for our food, and put it all in the car. I knew she was mad at me and I knew she had every right to be mad at me. I had acted like a maniac but I couldn't help myself. I told myself over and over again to just man up and tell her I was sorry. To swallow my pride, to fix this but I couldn't. I couldn't get my mouth to open.

That kid was clearly flirting with her and I can't believe that she didn't know. She was talking to him, smiling at him. Was she flirting back with him? Did she like it? Does she like him? Is this the time I have finally pushed her too far? You're overthinking it. I thought to myself trying to stop myself from panicking.

It wasn't until we were at the arcade and parked the car that she finally spoke up.

"I can't believe you did that." She said to me,

"Did what? Let that kid know who you belong to!" I yelled at her.

"First off I don't belong to anyone! Secondly, what happened to keeping a low profile? Thirdly, how dare you act like that. That kid did nothing wrong!" She yelled at me.

"He was flirting with you!" I yelled at her.

"Who the fuck cares?" She yelled back at me.

"I fucking care!" I replied.

"I get that Billy, but you have no right to react that way." She told me in a much calmer voice. "You dont think it drives me crazy when every girl you meet throws herself at you?" She asked me.

I looked at her and could see the truth in her words and the hurt in her eyes. I was surprised by what she had said. The other girls never seemed to bother her.

"I didn't know. You never said anything." I told her.

"Yeah, because there was no point. So what if some girl is trying to sleep with you. No matter how crazy it drives me to see them flirting with you I don't say anything because I know it doesn't matter. I know you wouldt do that to me. So what's the point of bringing it up? So we can fight like this about a person who means nothing?" She asked me and I couldn't help but feel guilty.

She was too good for me. I know it, everyone knows it. It was only a matter of time before she realized it too. Before she left me for good.

"Hey guys." Max said happily as she jumped in the back of the car.

I hadn't even seen her coming. I was too preoccupied with Leslie. I watched as Leslie took a deep breath and plastered a fake smile on her face.

"How did Mad Max go? Did you make any friends?" She asked her.

"Not really everyone in there was kinda lame but I did beat the high record on a few games and had two slices of pizza." Max answered excitedly.

"Who the fuck cares! We wasted enough time to get home." I snapped.

I had noticed the time and my dad would definitely be home by now. We had taken too long. He was going to be mad that there was no food there when he got home. But all these two cared about was playing games and making sure I have proper manners.

"You don't need to be such a dick." Max said to me.

"What the hell did you just call me?" I yelled as I turned around to face her.

"Hey don't yell at her!" Leslie yelled at me.

"Fine." I responded as I put the car in drive and sped off down the street.
