Chapter 53

Nalilitong napatingin si Julie kay Elmo.

Akala niya kasi imagination niya lang ang lalaki pero nandoon talaga ito!

"Akala ko ba next week pa uwi niya?" Elmo asked Maqui as he straightened Julie's top.

"Sandali sandali bakit ako ang iniinterrogate dito?" Balik ni Maqui sa dalawa. "Ano 'to? Nadapa ka bes tapos lumanding yang labi mo kay Elmo?"

"He kissed me first." Julie shrugged coyly.

"She definitely kissed me back I felt her tongue—aray!" Elmo pouted as he earned an elbow to the ribs for that.

"What's happen—Elmo! Bro!" Sabi ni James nang makita si Elmo.

Lumapit naman si Elmo sa lalaki at nakipagone-armed hug din dito.

"Sila ata talaga magkakatuluyan bes." Bulong ni Maqui.

Julie wasn't really in the right state of mind herself.

Kakauwi lang niya sa Pilipinas nahalikan na niya kaagad si Elmo!

"May pasok ka tomorrow and you're here?" Tawa pa ni James habang inaasar si Elmo.

Ngumisi naman ang huli. "Hey. I'm the boss. I can do whatever I want." Tawa pa nito.

Saka ito lumingon kay Julie.

Nakita ng huli na ang tagal ni Elmo na nakamasid sa kanya kaya siya na ang unang nag-iwas ng tingin.

"Julie wait..."

"Op!!! Baka magmomol nananaman kayo!"

"Nananaman?!" James sounded horrified.

Natatawang tiningnan ni Maqui si James. "James ulitin mo nga ulitin mo dali ang cute pakinggan ng tagalog hahaha!"

Julie quickly walked away from the scene.

She was hella confused with what was going on.

Natagpuan niya ang sarili na lumalabas ng bar.

The cold breeze of the late night air greeted her.

She could feel the gravel on her feet as she stepped further away from the noise coming from the bar.

Tila nabawasan ang nararamdaman niyang sakit ng ulo gawa ng hangin mula sa labas.

"Moo."

She turned at the voice and saw Elmo standing there in all his glory.

Ang gwapo talaga.

She quickly turned away.

Yes she had a moment of weakness there. But now that her head was cleared up a bit she could remember everything.

But that was three years ago.

She decided it was better that she was mature about the situation.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I wasn't thinking straight."

"I was." Elmo said.

Umayos ng tayo si Julie. She had a confused looked on her face as she looked at the man.

"Stop bullshitting me Elmo. Kakauwi ko lang trip mo kaagad ako."

"I'm not." Agad na sabi ni Elmo.

He took a step forward but Julie quickly took a step back.

She challenged him as she looked at his face.

There was a somber and sad expression evident on Elmo's face.

"I...I waited for you."

"Bullshit." Ulit ni Julie. "Saan si Beth hmm?"

Elmo looked at her. "Siguro sa bahay niya I don't know."
