Sagittarius POV
"What do you mean, we've been betrayed?" I asked scaldingly. "What did you see, Gemini?"
Gemini bit her lip. "I need to find the mural to make sure, but I don't know . . ."
"Will you tell us once you find it?" Pisces asked, chewing her nails. "Because I do really want to know."
Aries probed the empty grape bowl. "This is completely unrelated, but who took the last grape?"
Capricorn popped it into his mouth with satisfaction. Aries narrowed her eyes when she saw and he smirked.
Virgo put her arm around Gemini. "Guys, don't berate her. Let's just find the mural and get this over with."
"What happened to relaxation?" Aquarius groaned, her face still in the pillow. I wanted to put my arm around her but I had no idea how she would take it, so I just sat beside her uncomfortably.
Libra waved it off. "Relaxation is long gone. Let's just claim Taurus's Realm and get to the next one. Preferably with the moonstone."
"Uhm -- guys --" Taurus shifted on the couch. He was blushing. "I know that you guys think that this is my Realm, and it's great and all --"
"And it's true," Cancer interrupted. "This is your Realm. Say the opposite and I'll get Aries to beat you up."
She looked from her silent staring battle with Capricorn. "Wait -- what?"
"Yeah, I don't think she's gonna beat up Taurus. He's like her little brother," Leo said, sneaking glances at the empty bowl of grapes. I had a feeling that the fact there were none left affected some people more than the fact that Gemini had spotted the person who was protecting us in her mural.
"Sophie wasn't even alive back then," Scorpio argued. His arm was hung loosely around Pisces waist, and judging from the blush that was slowly spreading across her face, she'd just noticed.
"Yep, and that dragon thing happened a thousand years ago," I agreed. "Can she really live that long?"
Aries shrugged. "Maybe she's a spirit." We all gave her a look. She scrunched up her nose. "What? Gemini had a 'spirit' phase when she made me bingewatch Secrets of Sulphur Springs and Haunted with her for like, a week straight."
Gemini blushed and Pisces laughed nervously. "I remember that. Aries stormed out halfway through claiming she was done."
I tapped my chin. "Didn't you claim that Gemini had gone insane, Aries?"
She went pink and Capricorn laughed, making her go even more red. "It seemed like she had at the time," Aries objected, crossing her arms. "Anyways, we should confront Sophie."
"Not yet," Virgo said, a smile still on her face. "We can't let her get suspicious. Who else would take us in? Look at the Eversons."
"They definitely would've like to," Taurus mumbled, hugging his knees to his chest. Cancer patted him on the leg sympathetically.
