We were all in the courtyard, the sun hanging low in the sky, casting long shadows across the ground. Cole was practicing his earth punches with Lloyd, while Kai and Zane worked on their respective skills. Jay and Nya were off to the side, sparring a bit, while I focused on my archery. I was listening in on the conversation, only half focused on my target.

"Moonlit walks on the canal, sharing food—Ah! Sounds a lot like a date. Ah!" Cole yelled, narrowly missing one of his swings and knocking a nearby training pole over.

Lloyd rubbed the back of his neck, clearly embarrassed. "It was not a date."

"A date: a social or romantic engagement. Often involving a meal or an intimate setting," Zane said, his voice calm and factual as ever.

"Haha! You can't argue with a Nindroid." Jay laughed, sending a teasing grin toward Lloyd, while I silently let go of another arrow, hitting the bullseye with perfect precision.

Kai was stretching nearby and grinned, clearly enjoying the teasing. "Look, if you like this girl, you're gonna have to step up your game."

"What do you mean, game?" Lloyd asked, his brows furrowing, genuinely confused.

"It means one's ability to charm," Zane added, walking over with a calculated look. "You need to convince her why you are the most logical mate."

"If you want to impress her, you gotta act tough," Cole cut in, showing off his usual cocky smirk. He flexed his muscles and punched the air for emphasis. "Break things. Show them you've got power."

He dramatically slammed his fist into one of the training equipment bags, sending it crashing to the ground, before winking at me. "It worked with your sister," he said with a grin.

Lloyd cringed at Cole's example. "Ew. I'll pass on that," he muttered, clearly repulsed.

Jay, not missing a beat, chimed in. "No way. You gotta make her laugh. Just ask Nya. She couldn't resist my sense of humor." He struck a pose, raising his chin confidently.

Nya shot him a glance, shaking her head. "It's an acquired taste," she admitted, her voice dry as she continued with her practice.

Jay flashed a cocky grin. "I know, I know. Not everyone gets it, but it's part of the charm."

"No, no, no," Kai said, wagging his finger at Lloyd. "You gotta act cool. Like, you don't even care about anything." He crossed his arms and leaned back, trying to look aloof. "You know, let her chase you."

"But I do care," Lloyd said, looking genuinely baffled. He ran a hand through his hair. "This is too much."

Jay jumped up suddenly, laughing. "A-ha! So you admit it. You like her!"

Lloyd's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "I—I didn't say that!"

"Okay, stop. All of you are really not helping him," I said, shaking my head and drawing another arrow. I focused on the target, lining it up perfectly. "Look, just be yourself. It's way easier than trying to be someone you're not."

I heard Lloyd stumble behind me, then Cole's laugh of victory. I let go of the arrow, watching it fly through the air and hit another perfect bullseye. When I turned to face them, I saw Lloyd walking off toward the palace entrance, his shoulders slumped.

"So my super strength isn't the reason you like me?" Cole asked, grinning as he approached me.

I shook my head, laughing lightly. "Nope. Not even close." Without waiting for him to respond, I started walking away.
