The weight of what had just happened pressed heavily on my chest as we moved forward. Despite my wind still whispering ominously around me, I pushed it down, focusing on each step ahead. Garmadon had the answers I needed, and I couldn't let anything—including my own powers—stand in the way of finding him.

Cole walked beside me, his presence a constant reminder that I wasn't alone in this. He didn't say much after the storm I'd unleashed, but I could feel the quiet understanding in his every step, his silent vow to stay by my side, no matter what.

As we made our way deeper into the island's heart, the landscape became even more twisted and eerie. The trees bent unnaturally, their branches reaching toward us like skeletal fingers. The air grew colder, the fog thicker, as if the island itself was alive, watching our every move.

I could feel my pulse quicken with each passing moment, a sense of foreboding tightening its grip on me. The further we went, the more oppressive the atmosphere became. It wasn't just the island that was unsettled—it was me. The chaos inside me hadn't fully settled, and every passing gust of wind made me feel like it was just waiting to burst free again.

"Do you think Garmadon's really here?" Cole asked, breaking the silence. His voice was low, but it carried a tinge of uncertainty I hadn't expected. "I mean... it feels like the place is alive, Y/n. Like it's got a mind of its own."

I nodded, my thoughts racing. "I know what you mean. It feels like... something's watching us."

Cole met my gaze, his expression softening for a moment before he let out a quiet sigh. "I just hope you're right. Garmadon's not exactly known for being a nice guy."

I gave him a faint smile, the first one in a while. "I know. But he's my last chance. I don't have a choice."

Cole didn't argue, though I could tell he was still worried. I didn't blame him. After everything that had happened with my powers, I was starting to feel like I was on the edge of losing control again. But I couldn't let that stop me. I had to find my father.

Hours passed, and we pushed forward, our pace slowing as the island's hostile energy seemed to intensify.

My nerves were on edge, every sound and shift in the air making me flinch. The wind had been quiet for a while, but it still hung around me, always just beneath the surface, waiting for the right moment to explode again.

We reached a clearing eventually, the fog suddenly parting as we stepped into an open space. And there, in the middle of the clearing, was a towering structure—half-destroyed, ancient, and covered in creeping vines. It was unmistakable.

The Temple of the Dark Island.

I stopped dead in my tracks, staring at the massive stone door looming ahead of us. A chill ran through me as I realized what this place was.

This was where it all started with the Overlord.

Where Garmadon's deep twisted path had begun, and where I hoped it would end.

"Cole..." I whispered, my voice strained. "This is it. This is where he is."

Cole stepped up beside me, his eyes scanning the dark temple.

The wind whispered louder now, the air crackling with an unseen power that threatened to overwhelm me.

"You ready for this?" Cole asked, his tone serious, though I could see the flicker of concern behind his eyes.
