Song in title- Not Like Us
by Kendrick Lamar
—~~••~~—The Sons of Garmadon sneered as they tightened the vengestone chains around the ninja. Wu stood untouched, watching with an unsettling calmness that didn't match his infant form.
"If you harm one hair on his head..." Cole growled, his voice low and dangerous, glaring daggers at Killow.
Killow chuckled, leaning closer to Cole. "You'll what? Where is he? Where's the Green Ninja?"
Cole smirked defiantly. "Ha. Like we'd ever tell you."
"Uh, Cole, maybe don't argue with a man whose belly button is that close to your face," Jay muttered nervously, his eyes darting between Cole and Killow.
Before Cole could reply, Mohawk stepped forward, gesturing to Mr. E. "Mr. E found them."
Killow turned his head, his wide grin filled with menace. "Good eye, Mr. E. The Oni Temple is just fifteen miles north of here. Set a course for the Quiet One."
"You don't have to call her that," Nya shot back, her voice steady despite the tension in the air. "We know it's Harumi."
The Sons of Garmadon exchanged sly smiles, their laughter filling the air.
"Do you guys have any idea what you're doing?" Kai said, leaning forward against his restraints. "She's planning to resurrect Garmadon. Lord Garmadon. I'm guessing none of you had the pleasure of meeting him."
Killow grinned wider, his fists tightening. "No, but we're looking forward to it."
Kai raised an eyebrow. "You won't be saying that for long."
Zane glanced at me, his expression calm but probing. "What would your father say about this?"
I scoffed, shaking my head slowly. "A lot. He'd say a lot."
Killow perked up at my words, his grin turning smug. "Oh yeah? You wanna give us one of those speeches, young Garmadon?" He nudged one of his lackeys, snickering.
I raised an eyebrow, holding my head high. My voice came out steady and cold. "My father. The man you're trying to bring back... He is a weapon. A killer. Do not forget it. You can use a spear as a walking stick, but that will never change its nature."
The air shifted as discomfort rippled through the group of enemies. Their laughter faltered, replaced by uncertain glances.
Jay's eyes widened as he leaned toward the group, whispering, "Is it just me, or is Y/n starting to sound like Master Wu?"
I ignored him, my gaze locked on Killow. "I promise you this: when bad guys try to unearth an ancient evil, it never ends well for them."
"Yeah," Jay added quickly, trying to bolster the moment. "Just ask Pythor, Master Chen, Morro, or even Garmadon himself!"
Killow chuckled darkly, his confidence returning. "Hmm, then it's a good thing the Quiet One isn't a bad guy..." He gestured dramatically to Ultra Violet. "...but a bad girl."
Ultra Violet smirked, her wild eyes glinting with mischief. "And I'm betting she'll do it better than any of them!" she laughed, and the rest of the Sons of Garmadon joined in.
Kai tugged at his chains, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Wow, good one. But careful, ninja—I wouldn't want to upset the child."
The baby Wu tilted his head, observing the scene with an eerie calm, his eyes sharp despite his small form. "A storm is coming," he murmured softly, causing the laughter to falter once more.
