Chaoter 41

Five Years Later

APPROXIMATELY!! Ava and Austin are nearing thirty. John-Luke is probably 16. Bentley is 11 1/2 and the twins are fixing to be 10.

Ava's POV

"Momma." I heard Kirby cry out as she came running into the kitchen.

"What? What is the deal?" I asked her.

"Dad won't let me have Jack over. He said I shouldn't even be talking to him." Kirby whined as her dad came around the corner.

"That's right. Because you shouldn't." He said.

"We agree." Her three older brothers said.

"Ughhhhh." She said as she went up to her room.

"What the heck is wrong with you boys? Jack is only 10. He's not trying to get in her pants. If you keep this up you'll make people think she's gay." I said a little ticked.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea." John-Luke said.

"Then no boy would dare go near her." Bentley said.

"It's getting harder to keep them off dad." Jagger said. As I looked to Austin I saw him shaking his head no because he probably didn't want Jagger to say that out loud and in front of me.

"Are you kidding me?! You asked our 9 year old son-"

"About to be ten mom." Jagger said. I shot him a look. "Right. Nine. Nine is perfectly fine."

"You asked him to keep the boys away? Do you want her to be a nun? Oh I've had it with you." I said as I walked to the foyer. "Kirby! Call jack and tell him we'll be there in half an hour."

"Thanks mom." She said as she came down the stairs to use the office phone.

"Hell no Ava. I'm not having some hormone raged boy come to this house so he can corrupt my little girl." He said. I looked around to make sure none of the kids were around.

"Austin King I have never once questioned your judgement when it came to this family but this is a far cry from sane. He is ten years old. It's not like we are letting him and her go in a room by themselves. Calm the hell down or your office couch is going to get broke in tonight with you sleeping on it." I said.

"Really? Well maybe I'll sleep there anyways because if this boy so much as tries to touch my little girl I will neuter him!" As Kirby came down the stairs we put on happier faces.

She jumped in her daddies arms and wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. "Thanks for letting him come daddy." She said as she pulled back to look at him. "I promise I don't like him like that. We are just friends." She hugged him again and I made a face at Austin. He made one back before setting her down.

"Let's go sweetie." I said. She practically ran out of the door. Before I could get out Austin grabbed my elbow.

"I mean it Ava. I will neuter him as the boys hold him down." He said. I jerked my arm out of his.

"You better watch it mister. You are not going to turn our daughter into a nun. Put your over protectiveness aside for one night and meet her friend." I said as I looked in his eyes. I could tell he was having an internal battle.

"Fine. But me or one of the boys has to be in the room at all times." He said.

"Fine." I said. I started smiling as I saw his frustration fade.

He started smiling and said, "Dammit why do you do this to me?" He asked before putting his hands on the sides of my neck and bringing me in for the kiss of a lifetime. "You drive me insane." He said as he pushed me out of the door with a smack on my butt.
