I decided I would tell Austin first because it would be more special if we could tell little man together. At this moment my little boy was sitting in his chair that was hooked to the large counter/island in the center of the kitchen. I set up the tv to play his favorite cartoons while I made dinner. Tonight we are gonna go Italian with some pasta because Momma said so. I looked over at John-Luke while the water was getting ready to boil for the noodles. He was completely zoned in and I couldn't help but get emotional. I was going to be a mom again. Stupid hormones got me going. I can't help but run a hand over my still flat stomach.

"Momma why you crying?" He asked and pulled me out of my thoughts. I wiped my face clean and walked over to him and took his tiny hands in mine.

"Because momma loves you so much. You just make me so happy." I kissed his forehead and heard keys jingle then the door open. I straightened back up and went back to my noodles.

"Hey buddy." Austin greeted as he messed his sons hair up. "Hey baby. I missed you guys so much today I wish I could just stay-"

"I'm pregnant." I blurted. I couldn't wait to tell him anymore. He paused in his rant and looked over at me. "I wanted to tell you with a big surprise but I couldn't wait." He got up and started walking toward me.

"You're pregnant?" he asked with so much hope and joy in his eyes. "You're really pregnant?" I nodded my head and he fist pumped the sky and hugged my upper half so tight because he didn't want to harm my stomach. "Oh honey this is the best news I have heard since knuckle head over there. Speaking of knuckle head did you tell him?"

"No I waited so we could tell him." He nodded and then grabbed the remote to shut the tv off. I turned to stove down so the water wouldn't boil over. "Hey buddy can we talk real quick?"

"Am I getting a dog?" he asked so excited.

"Well yes but that's not what we need to talk to you about. Momma has... well she's gonna..."

"I'm gonna take this one babe." He mouthed a thank you and ran his hands down his face. "You know how Jay Jay is Momma's brother?" he nodded. "Well you're gonna be a brother. Momma has a baby in her belly and when the baby is ready they'll come out and you'll be a big brother. Understand?"

He shook his head and said, "do I still get a dog?" My son is the epitome of his dad. We laughed at his statement and went back to getting prepared for dinner.

Since the pregnancy was early we are gonna wait until after the 'miscarriage' mark to tell our friends. Not that I'm at risk but you never know. We were going to tell our parents so they would know but until a couple months in the pregnancy we won't be telling our friends.

2 1/2 Months Later

Today I would hopefully find out the gender of our little pumpkin. Don't blame me for being festive. I've already decorated the house with fall decor. I pulled into the doctors office and shut the car off. "Okay baby." I started as I rubbed my now slightly raised tummy. "Momma really needs you to open your legs wide. You've been hiding your gender from me and your Daddy. Please be a good baby and let us see what you are. Momma loves you so much already."

I sighed and got out of the car. Austin got here early and was already in the waiting room. I opened the door that read Dr. Brownings office. She was a she at Austin's request but she was also a family friend so it worked well.

"Hey baby. Did you get me signed in?" I asked as I kissed my husband real quick and sat down beside him.

"Yeah I did. I take it by our sons absence he is with Autumn?" I smiled and nodded.
